The guys entire MO is attacking "liberals" with logical fallacies. His fans rave about how he "destroys" liberals with his incredible logic but in reality he is just like the pseudo intellectuals that he claims to hate.
That plus spreading conspiracy theories makes him pretty much the perfect example of what is wrong with the modern conservative movement.
Politics has gotten pretty cartoonish recently. Im not saying its ever been that noble, but it all just seems like gotcha journalism now.

I've made this observation before, and I'll re-state it now. Those at both extreme ends of the Democratic - Republican spectrum seem far more concerned with ensuring that the "other side" is proven wrong than with doing what is right.
It doesn't matter if the people of the United States win, so long as whoever you have deemed to be the Common Enemy (Trump / Hillary / Manafort / Mueller / etc) loses.

I mostly just found the cartoon amusing. There's been far too little variety in this thread of late.
In 20/20 hindsight I feel that Barr either;
A: made a huge mistake in releasing the summary weeks before releasing the actual report and should have released the summary on a Friday afternoon in April and the full report the following Monday AM.
or
B: is a very sly operator for giving all the commentators enough rope to hang themselves in the time between the release of the summary and the redacted report.
At the moment I am trying to figure out which way it is going to play out.
Based on what I have seen in the media it really doesn't matter what the report says and does not say.
It does not appear that the presence of the report will change anybody's mind so all it really is at the end of the day is a footnote for History.
Wonder if they have started filming the movie yet and what narrative it will spew when one does get made?

It's not entirely unlike the situation with religion. No amount of geological and cosmological evidence will ever convince my mother that the earth is several billion years old and that most of what is written in the bible is apocryphal. By the same token, nobody will ever convince Richard Dawkins that God loves him, Allah is the keeper of divine wisdom, etc.
The same rules apply here. No matter what the report actually says, after its release, Braineack will go right on posting AOC memes (having known all along that Trump was innocent), Bernie fans will continue believing that Trump is functionally indistinguishable from Hitler and his follows are literally ***** (having known all along that the report was faulty because Mueller has been influenced by Russian agents), the sun will rise, birds will sing, etc.

Denise McAllister is a talented and God-fearing woman who mocked a gay left-wing journalist (only after he provoked her). She did nothing wrong besides state her beliefs, ordinary wholesome views shared by tens of millions of Americans. But she upset Lefty Twitter. So Ben Shapiro fired her.
coincidence?
Ben, in all honestly, is hardly a republican -- he and Glenn Beck are butt-buddies that should go away; they are only interested in their revenue streams.

Serious question:
Hoes does "Jews have a lower opinion of Evangelical Christians than Evangelical Christians have of Jews" have anything at all to do with a journalist publicly saying something critical about a homosexual person and then acting surprised when she lost her job over it?
McAllister appears to identify as Christian, however the butt-pirate in question, Yashar Ali, describes himself as "Iranian, gay, and Catholic." (source.)

So the Chicago mayoral race is finally over. WGN called it first. And, I'll admit that in all my years in broadcasting, this was the first time that I happened to be present (by chance) in the war-room when the decision was made. Turns out that we have a procedure for this. There's a round-table "Go / No-Go" call, ala NASA in the 60s, in which each member of the election team has to state their personal confidence in the decision.
Turns out that it was stupidly easy tonight. 74 / 26, with 66% reporting at 7:38pm. The socialist won hands-down. (Also, I'll note that the newsroom was taking bets on how early it would be called. The winner had a bid of 7:45pm, which was the "$1" call in "Price is Right" terminology and won a nice dinner for two.)
The winner was a lesbian socialist (Lori Lightfoot), who was running against a straight woman (Toni Preckwinkle) who is not a socialist. I'd been rooting for the latter (despite knowing that it was a lost cause) merely on the basis that, during the debate we hosted last week, Preckwinkle pointed out the times during her tenure as Cook County Board of Commissioners president in which she forced county agencies to slash their budgets and personally fired hundreds of county employees in order to balance the books, whereas Lightfoot is basically the "Free stuff for everyone!" Chicago version of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
On the down side, sanity and reality lost out. On the up side, it's going to be massively entertaining to watch the Chicago Mafia try to adapt to this new regime. I don't think the Distler / Gambino family has the slightest clue as to how to work with this new leadership.

This whole post-game-show about the Mueller report, where Trump supporters say "There's no evidence of collusion prior to the election, based on a report which no one has read yet" and Trump-critics say "Even though nobody has seen the report yet, I know that it was looking in the wrong place at the wrong time," reminds me of present state of vaccine skepticism.
Right-thinking people are still demonstrating that vaccines don't cause autism, having apparently not noticed that the anti-vax crowd have already moved the goalposts are are now claiming that vaccines cause death and other bad things.
In both cases, people are attempting to refute an argument which is no longer being made.

Joe,
I wonder if you aren't giving too much credit to hard core people on both sides of the "Collusion" argument.
The arguing about Trump and Russia Collusion is just a bunch of dumbasses beating a dead horse.
At the very least the vaccine argument has a possibility of future testing and modifications to legitimately move the discussion one way or another so current evidence does not mean there might actually be something come up in the future that could modify the arguments.
