I'm going to take a moment to be completely serious here. And I'm being serious when I say that. Seriousness is happening here.

@Braineack, I'd ask that you please actually let this post stay on the current page for a bit, before burying it in a sea of copy-pasta memes.

This is an actual screenshot which I just took from FB. The poster, whose name I have censored in order to make a half-hearted gesture towards protecting her identity from all of you deviants, is a person who I know in real life.

A business colleague. Late-night drinks at the hotel bar, and nothing more. Seriously.

She's quite intelligent, and I respect her technical acumen, however this woman suffers from one of the worst cases of TDS I have ever seen.

This is one of those people where 95% of their online identity at present consists of #VoteBlueNoMatterWho.

This is one of the most ultra-liberal, gun-fearing, conservative-hating, hysterical-about-one-specific-thing people I have ever known.

This is someone who, within a few weeks of having moved from New Jersey to Georgia (long story, it was actually a good career move) let me know that she was totally freaking out, because on her way home she saw one of her neighbors having a garage sale, and in that sale were two hunting shotguns, and how in the hell can it be legal for a person to just sell guns in public, and holy ****, what kind of KKK* neighborhood has she gotten herself into, (and so on...)
.
* = she's Indian, but identifies as black for the purposes of being scared of people who have strongly-held opinions about one brand of chewing tobacco versus another.
.

Anyway, this is what she just posted:

I can't make any comment upon this which wouldn't cheapen it.

EDIT: But apparently others can. Oh, the comments... Here's my favorite:

Yes, my friends, that is a self-described liberal acknowledging gun ownership as a right, and then stating that rights do not extend to people of a certain group.

Damn barrel length on that thing is so long I almost thought it was a rifle. She plan on swinging that **** around her room in the middle of the night? Much less taking the time to load it first? That thing is probably good for knocking down the Intruder next door If he's hiding behind the refrigerator, that's about it. Sorry sweetheart, that's the wrong gun. Now go buy an ar-14.

That's a hot round, tall brass, goodness...
A hack saw can properly modify that shotgun.
Practicing loading it in the dark is a good skill to learn.
I really like a pump gun for home defense as it makes a distinctive sound when the action is racked.
In my house the first gun my wife will go for is an old Ted Williams pump with a 18 1/4" barrel.
It's loaded heavy, the tube has been modified to hold 5 and they get nastier with each shot.
It's loaded at ALL times but it doesn't have one up the pipe; It has to be racked to function.
The sound of it being cycled down a dark hall will STOP almost anyone in their tracks.
And THAT is what I want. I don't want her to actually shoot someone, just scare them to death...
And, especially for a woman, leave the stock on it as it is much easier to control if it does have to be fired...

We raised 3 gun crazy boys with loaded weapons in the house. If you train them early you do not have any problems.
I did get rid of all of the revolvers as they cannot be considered "safe" when loaded.

My middle son Austin, now 28, has his SOT tag and legally sells class 3 weapons...
The rioting has made the gun world ROCK, prices are WAY up. Austin is making big bucks right now.
Even liberals and people of color are coming to the gun shows in waves...
When Trump is re-elected and the rioting dies down the gun world will crash and burn and stuff will be cheap again.

Nonsense. A revolver is no less "safe" than any other firearm when loaded.

I respectfully disagree. A loaded revolver will always fire when the trigger is pulled. This is a single movement.
An automatic with a loaded magazine requires multiple actions to function. If you also put the safety on it's another step that has to be completed before the BANG can occur.
I've not seen a revolver with a safety.
No loaded weapon can truly be considered safe. Training of your children is paramount for safety. I was worried about my children's friends so NO revolvers.
All of my weapons are loaded but none have one ready to go in the chamber. I've always had plenty of time to ready the weapon before use.
When they were little I left the home defense weapons loaded and locked away. By the time they were teenagers they had their own guns...

Millions of firearms have been sold with dysfunctional safeties. I personally despise manual safeties as I don't trust them and it is just one more thing to go wrong if you actually need to use the weapon.

See, now I was thinking it would go just the opposite way (i.e. get much worse), at least initially. Remember all the crap that went on the first time? It's gonna be that, plus all the current BLM **** on top of it.

I'm honestly surprised that there have been no assassination attempts on Trump yet.

If he is re-elected (which I don't see as a foregone conclusion at this point), I wouldn't really be surprised by anything. My expectation would be for civil unrest to increase, however my expectations are often proven to be incorrect when it comes to human behavior.

I'm still blown away by how the hardest of the hard-core ultra-left are now suddenly embracing the Constitution.

So will every striker fired modern semi-automatic, as well as most double action semi-autos.

"Always having plenty of time" to get the weapon ready to use is a luxury that rarely applies when the world goes to ****. Under stress, most will forget to load the chamber when they really need to.

My daily doesn't even have a safety. I believe it's super long and hard trigger pull to be plenty enough safety for me. It's vastly different from target shooting guns with hairpins. I would never carry without one in the chamber and safety off. Sketchy situations happen far to quickly.

If one practices a lot, which I certainly don't, then racking the slide as the weapon is raised can become second nature.

Besides the typical heavy trigger on most Off the Shelf autos, keep the finger off the trigger.

I carry with a round chambered / no safety.

What’s a good home defense shotgun? I never thought about the rack being the deterrent to scare them off before any engagement, and that sounds like something I need to add to my bedroom to compliment the giant mag-lite, laser, and Sig which currently resides by my bedside.

How to objectively get together and push an agenda and not really report what happened.

When you have no platform, you try to paint your opponent as bad.

When you're an objective journalist, you leak stories to your powerful friends, and sit on the story until it benefits you personally, finacally.

Notice the dates and language.

But please, leftists, please tell me more about how I shouldn't politicize this pandemic! please!
