We lived several years during my childhood where my family was a hated racial minority. I endured bullying and physical harm specifically because of my race. My younger brother cried often as a first grader because he was "ugly" and didn't have black hair like the other children.
At Rancho Romero Elementary School (a suburb of Oakland / Berkeley), five year olds can learn how to properly express their sexual identity thanks to the help of the Gender Unicorn, and nationally-syndicated sex columnist Dan Savage. (Yes, the same Dan Savage who hosts the annual "HUMP!" ****-film festival.)
Yup. Totally not exaggerating at all here. Kids in elementary school are literally being encouraged to explore not only their gender-identity, but also their sexuality, in school.

Sex is "assigned" at birth? I.e., by the whim of the civil servant filling out a birth certificate?
That is the fundamental premise behind the push to recognize trans / nonbinary / etc. Typically, the civil servant follows the recommendation of a doctor / midwife / etc., who has attested that "this child is male" based on having observed that the child has a *****. Of course, modern LGBTQWERTYism rejects the fact that "gender" is in any way linked to a persons chromosomal makeup, which in turn drives the development of the genitalia. In that world, gender is whatever you say it is. Kind of like when kids are playing in the backyard, and one of them says "I'm a dinosaur" and another says "I'm a rocketship," only with disastrous consequences for the child and ostracism and possibly imprisonment for anyone who says "no, you're not a dinosaur."

Many of us were male all of our lives, did male things, and related to the world that way. Now, in our later years, we really ARE dinosaurs. And it is not only due to age.

seriously, what happened in the last year or so where every medical professional and school teacher was just like: you know what? these 15yo's are right -- let's change hundreds of years of medical advancements and basic knowledge on the whim of some youth mob????

I don't see why you're upset by this.
How much higher is the "Clinton'd" rate for these types once they hit adulthood? Sounds like less spent on healthcare and welfare services.
