Not sure if this is the right thread...

I'm standing in line at the local Subway waiting to order a sandwich. An older couple is ahead of me occupying the same circle. No problemo--I'm just close enough to hear what's going on. He orders a large sub and goes through the whole extras process. Then he says, "Please cut it into thirds". The subrista gal, a young blafrican American, says something like "Sure", and proceeds to cut the sub right down the middle. Then she starts to cut one half the sub in half again and the guys yells "Stop!". He was pissed. He was completely polite and unassuming beforehand, but now he was PISSED. Whyever he wanted it divided into three equal portions was now dashed. There was a heated back-and-forth about whether or not he wanted her to continue to divide the sub into three parts. The young lady had NO idea why he was upset. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Not a glimmer of a clue. Nothing in her brain sparked even a bit of curiosity. She did not understand.

We're really fucked.

 

If i'm working at subway, i am high as a kite 100%. She doesn't give two ***** about the thirds.

I had a similar experience at TB just a couple days ago. Except i was super polite explained the mix up and reiterated what i had wanted, like an adult. Ended up getting the order corrected and a free taco no problemo.

I regularly deal with morons screwing up half a million dollar orders, now those people i could scream at.

 

You wanted your taco cut into thirds?

 

Now I'm curious as to why you'd want an electroplating tank cut into thirds.

 

Sorta except the fractions weren't that complicated. I just wanted the supreme variety pack with 3 of the 6 crunchy tacos soft.
How else would you get it through the door?

Having only done something like this once (installing a new HVAC system), we used a concrete saw, a demolition hammer, a small excavator, and a telescoping crane.

 

Equipment should start showing up mid to late next month. I'll be sure to take plenty pictures.
