I'm not sure how to answer the "WTF" any more plainly.
1: "I have *****, and I don't want them. Please remove them."
2: (sound of ********* being pulled out through an incision in the *******, and chucked into the medical waste bin.)
3: "Actually, that was a mistake. I miss my *****. Can I please have ***** again?"
4: (sound of the atrophied ******* being stretched out by insertion saline pouch which is gradually inflated over a period of several weeks, followed by sound of removal of saline pouch and insertion of simulated *********.)
5: "Hmm. My hormones are still way out of whack, but I guess at least I look less abnormal when in the locker room surrounded by guys who I totally am not attracted to at all because I'm definitely 100% a straight, cisgendered male."

I know they are used all the time with show animals. Can't have a nutless dog winning Best of Breed if it's physical conformation is clearly altered.
Also, as for those fake eyeballs, they really are a good thing. My daughter had a pet that had to have its eye removed, and absent something in the socket, the whole side of its face became distorted and caved in.
