One is to suggest The Netherlands (for the queers), Sweden and Denmark (for the anti-patriarchy folks), and... nowhere for the anti-racists. The US is already very near the top of the list of not-racist countries, among countries with a non-homogeneous population, according to most reliable-looking statistics I can find. And it remains there even when you filter for just racism directed towards dark-skinned folks.
But two is that none of this matters. The above is all about facts and objectivity, and that's not what the #NotMyFlag / #NotMyPresident / #NotMySomethingElse crowd are about. They need to perceive oppression and disadvantage everywhere in order to be validated. If they're not being oppressed, then the fucked-up state of their lives can't be blamed on someone / something else, and every true liberal knows that bad things are, by definition, someone else's fault.
Again, I'm not really being all that sardonic when I write this. This is, so far as I can tell, what actual reality is like right now.
It blows my mind that so many people, particularly of the more right-leaning political bent, still send their kids to public schools. "BuT my sChooL iS GoOd!" No it f@#king isn't.
And it's absolutely horrible here in Fairfax/Loudon Co. where all my friends are sending their children to child molesters whom touch them and teach them to hate white people.

Newspeak isn't something that's slowly happening in schools, it's something that's already in the process of mainstream acceptance.
Case in point, this article published by MusicRadar: https://www.musicradar.com/news/inclusive-audio-terms
As a broad generalization, musicians and sound engineers aren't exactly the most politically-correct folks on the planet. So when they start embracing this kinda stuff, that's a good indicator that the genie isn't going to be easily shoved back into the lamp.

The Professional Audio Manufacturers Alliance (PAMA) has announced that it’s working with its members and industry trade organisations “to address outdated language and terminology issues increasingly identified as discouraging a spirit of inclusivity within the professional audio community.”
The likes of ‘master/slave’ (in reference to clocking) and ‘male/female’ (in reference to connector topology) are among the terms thought to be questionable. The PAMA has circulated a survey among its members - which include the likes of Audio-Technica, Blue, Sennheiser and Shure - to gather feedback regarding this kind of problematic language.
“The intent is for PAMA members to recommend adopting a framework within their organizations for the implementation of unified terminology across the industry, in the spirit of inclusivity and consistency,” explained PAMA Board Chair-Elect and Inclusion Committee member Karam Kaul (Harman). “It comes down to treating each other with respect.”
As a starting point, the PAMA has created a list of recommended neutral pro audio nomenclature. This suggests that ‘master/slave’ could become ‘primary/secondary’, and that ‘male/female’ could become ‘plug/socket’. This is said to be a ‘living document’ that will evolve based on ongoing input from the industry at large.
The PAMA’s initiative has already garnered support, with Karrie Keyes, Executive Director of the women-in-audio advocacy group SoundGirls.org, as well as monitor engineer for Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder, commenting: “Shoutout to PAMA for introducing neutral language for the audio industry. This is a tremendous undertaking and is important to continue working toward meaningful changes in our industry.”
Earlier this year, a successful campaign was launched asking that popular music technology forum Gearslutz change its name. It’s now known as Gearspace.

I bet a nickel GearSlutz changed their names to suit their advertisers desires, not their users. In other words, what IB has done to every single automotive forum on the net, besides this one for the most part.
I'll quit using Master/Slave as a designation when it quits making sense. Most times I work with things that are strictly slaves, incapable of ever becoming a maser. It makes zero sense to call them secondaries, that would imply they could be promoted to primaries which is not the case. I don't care that someone has a meltdown over this. If it wasn't this, it'd be something else equally retarded and largely meaningless in the grand scheme of things. I'm not wasting my time to serve the mentally insane.

I used "pecker head" in reference to a junction box on a motor in a meeting full of pants suits just the other day. I was talked to about it.

Historically, this room, at any TV station (as well as large Radio stations), would be called Master Control:
It's a logical name. The operator in that room controls and monitors the station as a whole. Everything which goes out to the transmitter is controlled and switched at that desk. The transmitters' telemetry comes back into that room. The phone on that desk is the one phone in the whole building which is absolutely guaranteed to be answered at any hour of the day or night, weekends and holidays included.
It's also the shorthand name for whoever is sitting in the chair at any given moment, insofar as intercom protocol is concerned. If the director in News Control 2 wishes to speak with the MC operator (for instance, if news is about to cut-in live), the call on the intercom party line would be "Master, this is News Two."
But language changes to suit the most easily-offended elements of society. Today, this room is called Air Control. If you refer to it as "Master" to anyone who's worked in the business for a while, they'll know what you mean. And internally, we still call it that. But woe be unto the person who uses the phrase "Master Control" in any public communication. That's an instant sit-down with HR. Might even get you fired, depending on the context.
our kid’s school had that same mindset - “parents shouldn’t be listening to class time as that is between teachers and students for privacy”. So EVERY day, my son was on his Zoom call next to me while I’m working at the table and we’re talking about what the f**k is going on in class.
the worst teacher was his US History teacher - but they call it some bullsh:t like “Global Context”. She claimed that Thanksgiving wq the pilgrims and indigenous people wasn’t a happy time where they came together. Partly due to the fact that the terrible whites stole the land and that’s the most egregious crime ever and hurt a lot of feelings. My son asks her “is there a country today that didn’t get its beginning by taking land from a weaker population of inhabitants?” and she crumbled. Couldn’t answer the question and the. Switched to “why would a person want to know that kind of information?” Pulling the kids out of Public School for the upcoming school year. It is not good here in Communist Oregon.
if you can for one second understand which issues need to decouple from “Left V Right” you’ll find greater success. Child rape trafficking, screwing up public education, allowing mentally unbalanced men to identify as women to compete in women’s sports, etc are examples of problems that face EVERYONE.
