I am genuinely curious as to how Leo Galuh came up with the idea for this article. Like, there are two significant major wars going on right now, famine in northern Africa, starvation and human-rights abuses happening in Gaza, etc etc., and Leo Galuh chooses to write about trans sex workers in Indonesia.

So I looked up Leo Galuh. And now it makes sense.


So now I merely wonder why The Independent chose to reprint this piece...

Agreed. Majors of study such as "Sustainable Business" might have been total bunk thirty years ago, but just think of all of the greenwashing going on nowadays. Someone has to orchestrate all of that, and corporations are willing to pay for it.

Same goes for DEI-type fields. If you're brown and queer, you can easily make a six-figure salary in the Fortune 500 (or the gov't sector) by helping to de-stigmatize pedophilia in the workplace.
