Why do people engage and provoke these SJWs?
A simple "mine your own damn business" and walking away would have totally sufficed.

Do these people have anything better to do? Do these people have jobs, hobbies, places to go, things to do? Fuck man, my life is WAYY to damn short to give two shits about what kind of hat someone has on.

The following isn't technically a purebred manifestation of Gen-Wu, but its smug and self-righteous attitude without regard for facts or context is definitely cut from the same cloth:

So... here's what confuses me.

We all know that corporations are evil, greedy, and care about nothing other than profits. So, if women are that much cheaper to employ than men, for the same net work output, then why isn't the unemployment rate among men 100%? Any organization motivated by profit should hire nothing but women for all positions, including executive roles. Just imagine instantly lopping 20-30% off of your payroll costs with zero impact on productivity and none of the stigma associated with off-shoring: it's a shareholder's dream!

Well, the problem (and the reason claims like this live on), is that it's actually true. On average, women do earn 20-30% less than men across the entire labor force.

But that doesn't tell the whole story.

For starters, women tend to enter lower-paying career fields then men, across all levels. Compare the typical male : female spread in people who pursue college degrees in education / social work / literature / gender studies vs. those who pursue engineering / accounting / computer science. Like it or not, some people deliberately choose to enter fields of study which lead to employment in fields which, on average, pay less than others.

And it gets even trickier. Take a field of study which, on average, is at the higher-paying end of the career spectrum, which attracts roughly equal numbers of male and female matriculants, and in which neither physical ability nor STEM education is particularly vital: Law.

While in law school, I was exposed to quite a lot of opinions and information concerning various legal careers. And my takeaway here is two-fold.

First: women were much more likely than men to express interest in legal careers which involve public defense, family & marital law, pro-bono / indigent services, etc. These jobs might give you some sense of civic pride, but they pay for shit.

Second: among those who do pursue corporate law (contracts, patents, compliance, etc), there exist two basic career paths. The first is derogatorily known within the industry as BigLaw, in which one works for a large firm which bills its corporate clients by the hour. As an example, in the book & movie The Firm, the lead character worked for a BigLaw firm. In this field, you live and die by the number of billable hours you generate per year. The hours are insane, you're basically on-call 24/7, and the burnout rate is high.

Then, by contrast, you have House Counsel. Big corporations have their own in-house attorneys who handle most of the routine day to day stuff. It can be a tad dull, but you live a pretty normal life. It's mostly 9 to 5, no travel, pretty much like any normal office job.

I'm not saying that house counsel pays especially badly, but it's the kind of job that BigLaw attorneys gravitate towards after they've made partner, stockpiled a few million, and are looking to slow down and enjoy life. A male friend of mine out in CA, about my age, who was a BigLaw attorney in NYC and later LA, took a job about a year ago as house counsel at Mitsubishi after he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the doctors basically told him flat-out that he was going to die if he didn't slow down.

Now guess what the gender distribution of 3rd year law students who pursue employment in one field vs. the other is?

That same trend holds true across most professional fields. It may sound sexist, but recruiting data confirms that females are much more likely to prioritize things like a predictable work schedule and flexible hours over raw salary. I've seen it myself; broadcast engineering (like most other engineering fields) is very much a sausage-fest, and the very few female job applicants I've interviewed seemed a lot more interested than average in things like work schedule and vacation time, and were willing to make concessions to get them.

So, yeah, as a broad generalization, women do earn less than men. They choose to.

How to "fix" this? Simple: refuse them admission to academic programs which lead to lower-paying salaries, and discriminate against them during the hiring process by denying them concessions related to flexibility in scheduling and time off. Sounds fair, right?

all people are just are free to get shot by police...

This source says 991 police shooting deaths in 2015: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...ice-shootings/

the US population is est. at 320,090,857 people says google.

320,090,857 people / 991 police shooting deaths = 0.00000309599% of the population

so 99.999996904% of the US population is still free.

Meh. It's 2016. We are no longer individuals. We are only group members now. Another population reference: American FactFinder - Results

So, now that we are properly focused on groups (and, multiplying by 100 to get to percentage):

495 NonHispanic Whites + 152 Hispanic Whites killed in 2015 / 241,937,061 Total Whites = .0002674% Unfree/99.9997% Free
258 NonHispanic Blacks + 8 Hispanic Blacks killed in 2015 / 40,250,635 Total Blacks = .0006609% Unfree/99.9993% Free

Car Fatalities 2015: 35,200 (source: NHTSA data shows traffic deaths up 7.7 percent in 2015 | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA))
Black on Black Murder 2015: ~6,000 (source: 7 Statistics You Need To Know About Black-On-Black Crime | Daily Wire)

Yep, we're focused on the critical issue alright.

Serious answer: most Americans who identify as Hispanic are not of Afro-Latin ethnicity. This is broadly reflective of the demographic composition of Latin-American nations as a whole, very few of which (eg: Haiti, Martinique) have a dominant / majority African-descendant population.

Addendum: Consider all of the prejudices which exist within the Caucasian / Europid communities. Anti-Irish, anti-Semetic, anti-Polish, anti-Chechen, anti-Italian, and so on. The same spectrum of intra-ethnic racism exists within most Hispanic cultures as well. My Cuban uncles of Spanish ethnicity, for instance, tolerated Puerto Ricans begrudgingly, and despised Mexicans, Hatians, etc.

U of Michigan Student Successfully Changes His Preferred Pronoun to ‘His Majesty’ on Class Roster

By Nahema Marchal | 10:03 am, September 29, 2016

http://heatst.com/wp-content/uploads...=80&strip=info

As Heat Street‘s Politics Editor Jillian Melchior reported this week, a new policy at the University of Michigan allows students to choose their preferred pronouns— including the gender-neutral “they” and “ze” — to appear on class rosters.

With that in mind, one conservative student, Grant Strobl, who is also chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom board of governors, decided to troll the university administration by officially requesting his pronoun to be changed to “His Majesty.”

And it worked!

Although Storbl says he has “no problem with students asking to be identified a certain way,” he thought it important to show just how ludicrous it is for universities to institutionalize the use of “arbitrary” pronouns and threaten disciplinary action if students and staff repeatedly fail to use them.

“I henceforth shall be referred to as: His Majesty, Grant Strobl. I encourage all U-M students to go onto Wolverine Access, and insert the identity of their dreams” he told the College Fix.

The university vice president and provost of student life said employing preferred pronouns was “one of the most basic ways to show your respect for their identity and to cultivate an environment that respects all gender identities.”

Students can now add or change their preferred pronouns, and the changes will only be shared with “those who have a legitimate education interest in this information,” according to the new website.

Since the announcement, several students have followed Srobl’s example, registering an array of of regal pronouns.

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...59ce773460.png

The college made the change following a student-led initiative, Wolverines for Preferred Pronouns, which garnered over 750 signatures on Change.org this year.

We’ll see how long the administration will bow to “his majesty”‘s wishes.

U-M condemns flyers with 'racist point of view' found in campus halls

Martin Slagter September 26, 2016

ANN ARBOR, MI -- Flyers that espouse a "racist point of view" were found in University of Michigan halls early Monday, Sept. 26.

The flyers have since been removed from Haven and Mason halls, according to a letter shared by U-M President Mark Schlissel, Provost Martha Pollack, Vice President for Student Life E. Royster Harper and Vice President for Equity, Inclusion and Academic Affairs.

"While we continue to defend any individual's right to free speech on our campus, these types of attacks directed toward any individual or group, based on a belief or characteristic, are inconsistent with the university's values of respect, civility and equality," the letter states. "We also have a responsibility to create a learning environment that is free of harassment. These are core values and guiding principles that will help us as we strive to live up to our highest ideals."

The flyers in question were shared on social media Monday, taking aim at black men in particular, while another flier urged "Euro-Americans" to "stop apologizing, living in fear and denying your heritage."

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...04223593f3.png

U-M noted it has a number of resources students can use to report hate crimes or incidents of bias.

"In this time of heightened political strife, we believe these values take on even more importance as people and beliefs are targets of divisive rhetoric," the letter states. "But amidst these challenging times, our core values can help ground our community."

The flyers appeared on the U-M campus at a time when black college students have seen incidents of racial slurs appearing on campus at Easter Michigan University.

Students reacted by protesting the initial graffiti, marching to EMU President Jim Smith's home before he addressed their concerns.

Students then protested during EMU's home football game on Friday, Sept. 23, eventually going onto the field at the game's conclusion to voice their displeasure with the incidents.

No arrests have been made regarding that incident or in connection with another instance of graffiti found on campus, EMU Spokesman Geoff Larcom said Monday. The incident remains under investigation.

Well, assume that a certain person is male (penis, Y chromosome, etc,) however that person is also (figuratively) a pussy who can't quite cut it as a man in modern society.

Under the present regime, all that person has to do is say "I identify as a non-gender-binary pansexual, and my preferred pronouns are 'xqle' and "xqler"," and they are instantly exempt from all social-norm expectations and obligations. Furthermore, anyone who addresses that individual as "he" instead of "xqle" (in the first-person) or "him" instead of "xqler" (in the third-person) is automatically branded as Hitler, so there's also a control / power-trip element to it which is highly attractive to those who have never had control over anything, including their own thoughts and emotions. Note that the invocation of Godwin's Law is not appropriate in this situation, as the person making the accusation is obviously offended, and therefore wins the argument by default.

Depends on the country. Was it colonized for agriculture? Or was the main interest the pursuit of gold and souls for conversion to Catholicism? There were 10X more Africans sent to Brazil (~4M) than to the US (~400K). Honestly, I find it mind-boggling that so many people could be transported across the Atlantic Ocean on, essentially, small sailing vessels.

Interesting thing about the drive to convert souls . . . it sure saved a lot of lives (excluding those that succumbed to disease). Most Latin American countries still have a great deal of "Native American" in their gene pools.

Joe Perez 10-02-2016 04:05 PM

The subject never really came up. Columbians are not a significant immigrant group in PR, or in the US as a whole, and are a relatively diverse group, ethnically.

The attitude towards Puerto Ricans was mostly a byproduct of the fact that, with the exception of my father, the family settled there after the communist revolution in Cuba, mostly because my grandmother wanted to remain in the Caribbean rather than coming to the mainland. Understandable, given the circumstances.

In retrospect, tio Jose would probably disown me if he knew that at one point I was engaged to a Puerto Rican girl. On the other hand, my father probably would have been proud- he alone embraced the PR culture, probably because he never actually had to live there.

Neither one well ever know.

We were engaged, but never actually tied the knot.

I don't have any bitterness / animosity. We worked very well together in most regards, but it turned out that we has extremely different and incompatible ideas concerning long-term goals. She thought that my career was the only thing that mattered to me and was unable to accept the fact that I might someday get a lucrative job offer in another town, I was unable to reconcile her completely cavalier attitude towards said career (and personal indifference towards holding a job for more than six months) with her desire for a nice, upscale white-picket-fence lifestyle. There was also some schizophrenia, eg: "I love NYC, but I don't like the fact that you work in NYC and complain about spending four hours a day on the train getting there and back from our place up here in Poughkeepsie that we only got because I'm scared to move too far away from my friends in AA. Why can't you find a simple job up here in the outer suburbs so you don't have to spend so much time away from home? Oh, but we still need a big house and new cars, even though I'm not at all materialistic and such things don't impress me."

We split up at the right time. Turns out that post-divorce sex is amazing, and the highly lucrative job offer out of town came around just as that was winding down.

Duke University launches ‘safe space’ for men to consider their ‘toxic masculinities’

By Bradford Richardson - The Washington Times - Monday, October 3, 2016

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...85129fb5b2.png

Duke University is creating a “safe space” for male students to pore over the ways in which their “toxic masculinities” create a harmful environment on campus and beyond.

The Men’s Project, which is sponsored by the Duke Women’s Center, aims to “create a space of brotherhood fellowship dedicated to interrogating male privilege and patriarchy as it exists in our lives, our campus and our society,” according to the university’s website.

The initiative’s leadership team consists of four students, including juniors Dipro Bhowmik and Alex Bressler.

Mr. Bhowmik said the project will create an environment in which men can “critique and analyze their own masculinity and toxic masculinities to then create healthier ones.”

The curriculum is about “questioning how you can be accountable to feminism, to the women in your life and to the larger community,” he told the Duke Chronicle, a student newspaper.

Mr. Bressler said the leadership team aspires to create a “very intentionally educational space for male-identified individuals.”

“I’m excited that we are doing our own part to proactively deconstruct masculinity,” Mr. Bressler told the Chronicle.

The question-begging initiative comes on the decennial of the Duke lacrosse scandal, in which three male students were falsely accused of rape.

The university suspended the lacrosse team for two games and forced head coach Mike Pressler to resign before an investigation exonerating the players was carried out.

I'm tired of hygiene products targeted towards men all having to smell like AXE body spray. I find that sexist.

im being 100% serious.

Well, that's one way to get some tail. Kind of like taking Home-Economics back in the day.

no one wants to smell like a hipster. and no woman wants to have sex with a man that smells like one either.

I'm pretty sure that all these SJWs are simply women who are confusing "happiness" with ill-perceived fairness.

Male SJWs are either gay or else they are closet gays.

The public school system taught me to trust no one. Especially those in charge. The more authority they have, the less likely they are to know what is going on.
Whenever there is a "group project" do all the work yourself. Unless you don't care what grade you get.
The Pareto principle is real. You can get a B putting in 20% effort. That A will cost you another 80%.
And most importantly, while in public school, you have no rights. If you want to demonstrate your "rights" you better be off campus.
