It's hard being an "atheist" republican, isn't it?

I voted for equal pay for my gf, killing unborn babies because it's cheaper then condoms, birth control for people that don't want to have to kill unborns and work for god, drone sticks on heathens, net neutrality, and so on.

p.s. Yes i'm better off then I was 4 years ago and that was the only thing the GOP had to run on.

Doesn't exist.

You do realize that all of the so called "inequality" in pay disappears when you take into account hours worked and time away from the workforce right? It isn't fair to say women earn 23% less (or whatever the latest statistic is) when they work 23% less hours because 60% of women with children choose to be part time to take care of the family or lose out on raises and promotions because they left the workforce for a few years to raise a newborn.

The right to have an abortion was never really in jeopardy as this legislation would never pass.

I do agree with you on the birth control issue, however.

The last two points are pretty much irrelivant as Romney and Obama were pretty much the same on foreign policy if you looked past the rhetoric.

I am also much better off than I was 4 years ago but that doesn't mean I couldn't be farther ahead than I currently am or that many of my peers are stuck post-graduation with no hope for a job that pays any kind of wage that would allow them to move out of their parents homes.

EDIT: I am an not religious. I also strongly opposed any legislation that blurs the line between church and state like the Florida amendment that was just voted down that would have allowed for religious institutions to receive state funding.

I also find it disgusting when a President can seriously bost about how many more millions of people he was able to put on the welfare system (i.e. food stamps). I always thought that was something to be ashamed of, maybe I am just too prideful to think I should have to rely on the government to afford my groceries.

I've always wondered myself why good economic policy and liberal moral policy had to be exclusive.

thenuge26 11-07-2012 10:53 AM

They don't. It's called Libertarianism, and all the cool kids are doing it.

Ron Paul 2012!

Ryan_G 11-07-2012 10:55 AM

They don't and they really are not for most people. If the GOP would stop leaning so right on most social issues I believe they would win most elections. Most of the democrats I know vote for Obama specifically because of social issues. Even with them admitting that Obama probably isn't the best candidate for the economy it is was more important to them to "protect" abortion rights that were never really at stake to begin with.

Umm...I've been there since 2007. Still waiting for the plane to take off.

Basically just a general comment on the absurdity of a two party system and the moral majority...yada yada.

thenuge26 11-07-2012 11:02 AM

Ah, in that case you are preaching to the choir. I blame first-past-the-post voting.

I can get two abortions for the price of a tank of gas right now, does it get even cheaper under Obamacare?

Does it even matter, Obama does pay better to have a child on welfare than he does to abort it.

The guy didn't even write a concession speech until 5 minutes before he had to go out and give one. That was the moment I was happy about my vote. Hate our system of voting for the other guy even though he sucks almost as much.

Not even really sure what this statement means... or how you got "they took our jobs" from what I said. I assume because you had no real retort to my critique of your reasoning you resorted to trying to twist what I said into something entirely different. You have learned well from your leader and his superb smoke screening abilities.

LOL Obama is troll lvl 99.

I'm just playing the part of the uneducated voter that only knows what the ads tell me.

y8s 11-07-2012 12:18 PM

I don't understand why anyone should be upset about this election...

...just because white, mormon Obama didn't win.

Idiots about. Figures this would happen when I am running low on ammo. I highly doubt restrictive gun legislature will be enacted.

So I have got a little over a year to hunt for prospects.

You do know that there are brown people in Australia too right?
