Very highly recommend the Legal Insurrection piece above.
Where's the quote about humans spreading viruses like computers, and computers are machines so therefore osha should regulate machines??

There were a lot of doosies on Friday, I've never listening to SC arguments before and sadly this will probably be my last. Feelings > Facts/Law.

found the full audio clip: https://www.c-span.org/video/?c49947...-spewing-virus

She noted that some states are banning private employers from implementing their own vaccine or mask mandates and said that “Congress has decided to give OSHA the power to regulate workplace safety.”

Why shouldn’t the federal government have a national rule to protect workers, Sotomayor asked.

Later in her questioning, Keller tried to distinguish the vaccine-or-mask rules from OSHA’s ability to regulate that workplaces require masks when machinery is emitting dangerous sparks.”

Why is a human being not like a machine if it’s spewing bloodborne viruses” when it comes to OSHA’s authority, Sotomayor pushed back.

She also believes that 100,000 children are currently in hospitals dying from Covid.

Meanwhile, the CDC disagrees:

According to the CDC, as of Jan 1st, there are only 140 children hospitalized from C19 across the nation. Even the cumulative number is only 5,500.

She isn't dumb or stupid. she's a communist activist. She knows what she said is a bold faced lie, but she also knows she can get away with it and the ends justify the means.

That humans like a machine line is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. The government literally thinks they own us.

That brings us to another choice quote from Friday. Something about since the government is paying for the vaccine, they get to dictate the terms.

You know, because taxpayers are just currency mining machines the gov't uses to fund itself.

I'll have to find it again.

In theory, the People own the Government.

There's an old engineering joke:

In theory, what works in theory works in practice.

In practice, it does not.

In practice, government does in fact own the people. Were this not true, then government would be unable to forcibly extract labor from the people in order to finance its own growth and operation, and subject them to disciplinary action if they refuse.

This was sent to me by email, and I tried to find it on YouTube. It didn't seem to exist....as if it C-SPAN or Youtube had purged it. If anyone can find it--besides this copy I uploaded myself--lemme know.

The Supremes, as a whole, have really been on a "let's ignore the constitution" tear of late.

"Hospitals and healthcare organizations overwhelmingly appear to support the Secretary's regulation." -Kavanaugh

That's true, Brett. I'd bet that, if surveyed, they'd also support the seizure and destruction of all handguns in private ownership. But your job isn't about determining what healthcare workers support, it's about ensuring that the conduct of the Government abides by the rules set forth in the Constitution.

Democrats used the filibuster 327 times in 2020 against Trump.

Not in meme format; just imagine.

52 out of 100 is not a minority, so why would you need a filibuster?

Bad at PR? Federal laws actually dictate that this is the case.

The U.S. Federal Government is the worst form of government that's ever been attempted. Except for every other form of government that's been attempted.
Just my .02, but this is not controversial at all. Of course I work in government. My bias revealed, a few observations:

1. The general public does not know how "everyday" government, let alone government programs, work.
2. The general public wants it both ways: they want something for nothing.
3. In governement, damned if you do/don't is a way of life. You always have a critic.

What would surprise most is that government is risk averse and conservative (not in the political sense). There is no profit motive and so avoiding criticism, and avoiding mistakes becomes the motive. Of course...we also want to get it right, but see #3.
