HOWEVER, if you make a deliberate choice to live in a neighborhood with poor schools, high rates of crime, and lack of access to services, then complaining about the conditions around you is just silly. Doubly so if you're still there when conditions start to improve, and you then start denouncing the Gentrification of the neighborhood.
Or put another way: some people make poor decisions, and seem to be preconditioned to blame someone else for their predicament regardless of the facts.
Here's an example:
After coming to the US from Cuba with nothing, my family dropped off the elders in one of the poorer barrios of San Juan (where they had many friends who had done the same), and then headed to NYC. They lived in a poor neighborhood in Queens, and worked to save money.
After a few years, they were able to return to Puerto Rico, and move everyone to a not-shitty part of town. They opened a business, prospered, and after the elders' generation had all died, promptly moved back to the mainland (again) into very nice, upscale areas.
That's how it's supposed to work. The fact that certain groups seem not to get this, even having the benefit of free housing, astounds me.
What's the point you're trying to convey there? You disagree because she's a vaguely-not-completely-white-woman? Or you like the current system that's been bastardized, allowing people like Mittens to pay 14% effective tax?
I'm assuming you're against whatever she's for, since that would follow the trend of things you post in this thread, but what's your stance, exactly?

So in other words, I take it less as argumentative and more as an option to find information from a different source, and to be able to dive more deeply into a subject.

(Really i was just trying to goad Scott into actually posting something with substance rather than copy-pasting yet another article with none of his own thoughts attached, nothing more. I'm sure nobody here is actually racist/misogynist despite actively supporting people who most definitely are.)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is floating a 70 percent top tax rate — here’s the research that backs her up
...
Seventy percent is a lot higher than the current rate and will doubtless fuel the conservative effort to paint AOC as a know-nothing, but the number is in line with one prominent strain of recent economics research and is at least moderately well supported by America’s historical experience.

I don't care to get into debates with people online, nor in person. What's to gain? You're a pompous leftist who think you're better than everyone else because you believe you're morally superior in some way. I'm not going to convince you of anything, and you're not going to convince me.
If you want my stance on economics: read dan mitchell, laffer, friedman, or hayek. But that's boring and laughing at the mentally retarded and the morans who voted her in based on her good looks [or actually believe her nonsense] is much more enjoyable; especially since this is a random pics/vids thread...
now back to humor:

This starts to make sense when you look into their corporate profile, and see that 93% of their revenues come in the form of grant funding from General Motors, Ford, the California Air Resources Board, and Еди́ная Росси́я (United Russia), the latter of which I find especially hilarious in that Braineack spends most of his time denying Russian influence into US affairs.

you cant just repeat it over and over and make it true.

Ask @Robb M. to show you his financial records.
There is some serious pornographic red-head Russian spy stuff all up in there.
(I mean, why else would Robbbb. M be totally ignoring the plight of the common user here at MT? He can't actually be that sadistic without being paid for it, right?)
I want to meddle in her affairs:

he really only became "famous" because a few years ago he refused to call his biologically male students by ridiculous pronouns. So as the **** he clearly was, his students started protesting him and posting videos of him and we all got exposed to his brutal logic.
