To be fair, I'm guessing that the quantifiable data is available, but the news writer was either too lazy or too stupid to condense it down to the essential information.

I use a pair of 100W bulbs on a dimmer in a wooden box so I can put things I spray paint there to dry in the winter... I bought those bulbs in February, and I also bought a couple 150W bulbs at the same time, but they made the box too hot.

I also use 100W bulbs in my drop-light because they don't turn my garage into a super-fund site when they break. I'm also too cheap to buy a nice LED battery shop light.
