Doesnt that make the torque output really non linear and add something extra the driver needs to consider depending on slip angle etc?

How does wrc do it?

What if you want to trim the attitude of the car by throttle steering?

ASurely just having linear boost vs TPS will work nicely?

Dann
I'd rather have linear torque based on throttle throttle position. But linear boost is an ok approximation.

WRC spins all the time. They leave it up to the driver to modulate the throttle, which is part of what they pay him for - expertise in car control.

Also look for a better tire solution. If you are still using those giant three spoke wheels with itty bitty sidewall tires, that isn't helping. Sidewall compliance is a necessary component in maintaining the contact patch in all but the absolute smoothest of surfaces. And having a heavier than necessary wheel doesn't allow the maintenance of contact as readily, either. An intermediary measure might be to soften the rear suspension a bit, but that isn't a primary solution.

Again, look for a better tire solution.

I'm surprised you're using an EBC as you suggested, in this thread, that your boost was controlled by the turbo's maximum output and it was really running, and I quote: All of it.

I mean, i'd express surprise if something made that kind of power was spinning 3rd gear, and would express derision at that fact. 5th gear is just offensive.

It had some newish semi slicks on it.

he said they were good.

Ill get exact details. It runs 4ish degrees of rear camber also.

Lol 4* of camber in the rear would certainly hurt putting power down, any more than 2.5 in the rear really doesnt help turning in most cars but starts to kill your ability to put down power.

Sure, I will get exact numbers on wheel alignment but its a LOT of camber. It's really good at high speed.

The brakes will only be cleared by 17's so we cannot go down to 15s or anything.

It has 8 pots or something (HUGE). Off one of these.

That seems necessary for a 2200lb car. I bet it's really helping him haul that heavy car down from the drastically reduced speeds he's hitting due to wheelspin.

It pulls up AMAZINGLY. For dozens of laps it outbrakes everything in sight.

Thanks for your help.

Good point. That never happens with Miatas that have to settle for brakes that will only fit behind their puny 15s.

I just... i don't even. I can't.

Seriously though, you have an intentionally sarcastic attitude. Just drop it.

i appreciate that the brakes and wheels are bigger than they need to be.

That wont change soon, it's not my car.

Of course i have an intentionally sarcastic attitude. It's because i'm being intentionally sarcastic.

Plain and simple: This car is stupid. Gigantic brakes to slow it down from speeds that are lower than they should be because it's not hooking the way it should be because of the stupid wheel/tire setup necessary to clear said gigantic brakes and blah blah blah. It's moronic. Get mad about it all you want, it's the way it is. I know it's not your car, but think of how it reflects on you when you defend utter crap like this just because it has some of your parts on it. Unless the dude is on this forum stalking you and waiting for you to say something negative about it, then man up and admit how ******* DUMB it is.

I bet it brakes like ****. Why? Because it's clearly suffering from a huge lack of traction. Traction: Not just for acceleration anymore.

Otherwise, we're going to treat this as if it were your car as long as you keep cheerleading for it and suckling the teat.

I just want to see you post something cool. Every time i see this thread bumped, my heart jumps into my throat with excitement, and every time i get let down by something else at least as stupid as the previous subject. You'd think i'd learn. But i won't. Because i'm dumb. Really really dumb. For real.

Dammit, now I know why the car wont stick. Not enough downforce to counteract gravity.

True true, if the car was in the states it would be just fine with the 300ish hp.

As far as the rocket goes. Did you know that without the rocket traveling in the lateral direction no matter how high up it is it will either fall back to earth or completely fall out of earth gravity?

They hang upwards here too, just not all the time.

This doesn't make sense to me either. First is sketchy but I can stand on mine in 2nd with 279WHP/308WTQ on the highway with new RS3's and it sticks. Maybe my setup is just that good?

4 degrees of camber probably equates to 5 inches of contact patch width in a straight line on 17 inch diameter tires with no sidewall.
Stupid setup is stupid.
