Haha ya I know. I read for 3 years before I even made an account and I had already built multiple turbo cars/snowmobiles before that.

Why the FVCK do snowmobiles cost so much? My buddies front end got a slight tree related kerfuffle and it is $8700 to repair it. My MSM was $7000 and it was in mint condition.

That seems ridiculous and he should go to a different shop. I got my sled 2 years old with a turbo and tons of aftermarket stuff for $7000 and i could rebuild damn near the whole front of the sled for less than $1500 and thats if i straight up creamed a tree dead center.

Part of the reason repairs cost so much now though is that they are using more glue and composites to build the chassis instead of the older sleds that were all aluminum, steel and rivets.

Edit: also dont know how this relates to the thread

Personally I would go with OEM valve guide seals instead of Supertech.

Let's put this another way: There is not a single upside to the Supertech seals. Only potential downsides. Why anyone would buy them in the year 2019 after a crapload of posts about the problems with them, but no posts about problems with OEM seals, is truly mind-boggling.

Is the evap canister line too small of a diameter to be used as a return? That question was asked over in the original "Converting NB to return fuel style" thread but it was never answered.

I suspect it will produce undesirable fuel pressure effects (too high and inconsistent) fuel pressure at idle, because the return line is going to see almost the same flow as the feed line at that point.

People have done it and run the car, but AFAIK nobody has datalogged the fuel pressure.

The answer is "depends." (mostly on the pump you're using.) The feed line has been shown to support well... a LOT of power and the evap line is only 1/16" smaller. (Granted it's pressurized, and the goal with return is to have as little pressure as possible) Yoooooj pump? Wouldn't try it. Stock or one of the "next size up?" Maybe.

I use it with no detectable ill effects. But i have a stock pump and as Ian mentioned, i haven't datalogged fuel pressure, nor will i.
