They sent me a return label and said they would. Hopefully they don't change their mind once it's in their hands. It is only a couple of weeks old.

Maybe not on old 911's, Ghias, and Bugs.

It did on my 944. Took out the T-stat, and the sonbitch would run hot. The coolant was passing through the radiator too quick for the heat to be extracted before the coolant went back into the motor. I put the T-stat back in, and the car ran under normal operating temps.

after reading this thread I have come to learn a few things.
1st cats are funny little critters

2nd old men on escalators are endlessly entertaing, but a few points shy of little black kids being scared into a heart attack.

3rd not all newbes are retards. . . just the ones in this thread. if half of the goo in their skulls wasn't **** they might realize that coolant temperature is not directly indicative of engine temperature. it is exactly what it is called coolant temperature. want proof? remove your themostat and install a cylinder head temp guage, or better yet remove your coolant completely and drive your car. then report back to us what your coolant temperature guage was reading just before you were left stranded on the side of the road.

I hope they honor the warranty for you and that it was something stupid like manufacturing debris in an oil galley or something of that nature.
