Is there any reason you are staying with the 1.6 over going with a 1.8? Once you hit the point of wanting to build the motor it really does not make sense to build the 1.6 over the 1.8, and the 1.8 gives you much better results then the 1.6.

Yes details.
Like, are you asking for advice, in which case what is your planned use of this 300hp, what is the budget, what are the limitations or regulations (some places you're forced to use 1.6 and swaps are illegal)
actual details.
That way we know if you're just wasting everyone's time or actually want proper input.
*EDIT**
See, this is a detail that you didn't include originally. IF you leave stuff out, your thread will suck, and you won't get much help
You need to actually put some effort into asking questions if you want good answers

How much are you willing to fabricate yourself? What's the budget range? Needs to be able to live on the track right?
You'll want to throw away the stock coils, don't even bother with the toyota cops. Go straight to the chevy ls coils or the IGN-1A coils from DIY.

I think my setups will hit 300whp in a 1.6, but you will be running all of it. Honestly though you will be running all of it with whatever turbo you get on a1.6 to get 300whp. Newbsauce on here had a build motor and a 2871 with a ramhorn manifold and it took him about 20psi to make 300whp or so.

Or buy this setup and call it a day.
