BEGI Kit Install Pics

Dang man, you have never ending issues with your install. Most the time we tape up the drill bit and tap so we can't run them that far into the pan. it doesn't look like it's that poorly scarred though it's hard to tell from a picture. Never had a tube in my hands though I doubt it's super thin.

loving the install... sorry you're having problems... i too had a grip during my install and thinking that i have to tear it apart to replace the manifold makes me want to vomit. i would say im jealous that u have plenty of time to work on your car... i had to make mine work by the end of the day or else i would have to be sleeping in a friends couch.

Just saw this, so sorry for the delay in response.
I also hit my oil pick-up when drilling the pan during my install, but mine was actually punctured. As in there was a big *** hole in my tube. The tube is not super thin, so from the photos, I wouldn't worry about your scrape.
Pulling the pan to remove the pick-up tube, along with welding the hole up, set us back a couple of hours. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed. However, I now have the knowledge that all of the shavings from drilling the pan are out of there. There was quite a bit more metal sitting in the bottom of the pan than I figured there would be.

i'm no expert on NB's but on NA's there is a check valve in that line going to the brake booster RIGHT where you cut out the hose to splice in the vacuum distributor. if the NB is the same that could be a problem.
edit: nevermind, someone pointed out that i can't read. go about your day

- Never did get the F/IC working. AEM looked at some vids that I posted in their forum and it's going back for more troubleshooting. If they can't find the problem they said they would replace it.

- I'm not going to mess with the oil pick-up tube. If I lose oil pressure down the road, I'll know where to look. I will flush it out some more though.
- There is a check valve where I cut the brake booster line. Had to relocate it to the booster side. I have an extra check valve if you need one Chad. PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
- The only other issues I'm still having is with the BEGi's down pipe and IC tube. It's been ~2-1/2 weeks since I identified the issue and there's been no resolution but Stephanie was out sick for a week during this time.

are you sure its the tube and not the baffle?

It's the oil pick-up tube for sure. It sits ~1.25" inside the pan from where BEGi recommends drilling.
FYI, to anyone in a similar position, fixing this without pulling the subframe requires lifting the engine up about six inches. Luckily, I had to pull the tranny to put in my flywheel, so lifting the engine up wasn't that big a deal. However, it did require that I pull the engine with a cherry picker while having the car only a foot off the ground on the lift. It was no ******* cool. Don't drill too far and hit the pick-up tube.
