Just make sure its either venting to air, or pressure in crankcase is escaping somehow.

 

So if I were to run both the intake/exhaust sides on the valve cover to the catch can, I'd need to get one with one of those filters on top?

 

Or you can drill and tap a hole to fit a fitting.

Either way if you hook up both sides into the same oil catch can, you can route it back to the intake or vent to air or hook it up to the exhaust correctly.

Basically you need to allow the crankcase pressure buildup to escape.

So, would this work? Hook up an air filter to the exhaust side, plug the intake. Then run a hose from the intake side to the catch can inlet and put a filter on the catch can outlet.

Right now I'm planning on buying one of those eBay catch cans and doing what I described about with two filters, so if that would not work I'd like to know.

If you are going to do the filter on the exhaust side you dont need a catch can, if you use a catch can hook them both to it and put a filter on the top. I know its a mess in this pic but its the only on I have of my catch can. Its made from left over IC pipe. I have also replaced the drilled out pcv with a brass fitting since I need it to seal for my exhaust vacuum set up now. [IMG][/IMG]

 

I feel better about my "hot mess of vacuum lines and wires" behind my intake plenum now.

So, the hose I outline in red, is that going over and connecting to the valve cover on the exhaust side?

If so, then I can just connect both sides of the valve cover to the catch can, then drill/weld a fitting on of the catch can and put a filter on it and plug off the thing on the intake manifold. If that would work, that's probably what I'll end up doing.

Cap off that bigass breather port on the intake manifold plenum. RUN THE TWO VALVE COVER LINES TO A VETN TO ATMOSPHERE CAN. SUCK DICKS AND MAKE MONEY

 

your drawing on my pic is correct. And it doesn't look like that anymore, that was my test fit of my first intake mani.

 

Alright guys I got it. I've got it all planned out, any ideas to what I should use to plug the breather port on the intake manifold plenum? I'm sure I can find something, just wondering what you guys use.

 

Just a vacuum plug, through a small hose clamp around it.
