I've been fortunate enough to find that as a complimentary service at a friend's shop. I do have a tire changer now. But it's old school- ya know, like fighting a transformer weilding solid steel nunchucks. It just wants to hurt me. I'll get me own when I get another race car for sure.

That is a good welder for the dough- tho almost double what mine cost and 30 more amps. I had a birthday budget to work within- and it's served me well for the last five years. No doubt I'd rather have yours. There's actually one on ebay for $300 right now- that's a deal.

Right. That's why I was asking.
Although he must have said it somewhere (then again, who knows, maybe he's using 1/4")
1/2" using 120v = take it somewhere. If not, then bevel, preheat, and multiple passes is the extent of my limited knowledge. I'd love to hear how he did it as well.
