Well, news is that the wastegate actuator seems to beewhat is regullating the boost and nothing else. That's right there is no boost controller on this thing and it runs VERY quickly up to 7psi and stays rock solid once it is there. It spools so fast that it feels almost NA. anyone every seen a 7psi internal wastegate actuator on it with the serial code "44873-5 04292 31608"? I'm just wondering if getting a boost controller would kick up the boost by a few psi, or if the wastegate is at it's peak and I'll just have to get a new one.

With the flange setup like that I don't think the flapper would open all the way but maybe it opens up just enough and the WG port flows directly into that plate and out the downpipe with nothing else to smooth it out or tie it in.
That turbo should spool to 7psi quickly or something is wrong.

It does, in fact, spool VERY quickly. I would think that the block-off plate would limit the movement of the flapper, but the stock WRX downpipe has that same sort of plate on it, and it boosts 14.2 psi on a TD04 from the factory, so I would doubt that the plate is liming the flapper.

And yes, there is a vac line going to the internal wastegate.

Ok, I think that I have a good educated guess on which turbo I'm running.

The Garrett gt25r and gt28r were the best guesses because it is too small to be a straight T3.

It spools extremly quick, so I'm guessing it's a ball bearing.

As far as I know the gt28r does not come in a 60 trim.

The gt25r has the same markings.

There's my best guess, If I'm wrong about something, please tell me.

Does the turbo still have the ID plate on the center section?
Easiest way to tell exactly what it is.
