Default GT28R (aka GT2560R) is this the built in restrictor?

Hi,

I just got my new GT2560R in and had a look - as we have about 3 active threads about restrictors.

I think this is (is this?) the sometimes mentioned build-in restrictor..

(see the black dot inside the thread)

What do you think? Would mean I just would have to order an oil inlet adapter no restrictor.

is that black dot something like .035" in diameter? Is it that odd shaped black spot?

Wait what is 0.035" again... oh yeah ~0.9mm...

Yeah could be ~0.9 - 1.0mm - something like this.

And yes it's the black oval dot at the end of the small thread. (Looks a bit odd shaped because it's quite difficult to take a pic of it - in reality it's nice and round)

looks small enough. compare it to the I.D. of your feed...which is probably .18" or .25"

That doohickey is actually the locating pin for the bb cartridge, and the Garrett bb turbos have had those since forever. So you basically don't even have to think about it.

As such, the advice to add a restrictor so that you get ~35 psi (or whatever it is, I forget) at the turbo always has been and will be valid.

The real question is... what size flange does that thing have?

I'm sorry, ignore me and continue.
