Heat vent in Firewall?

Sid, that's true but it's very problematic to try to display that much information, not just for posting but for comprehension as well. A video format might be the easiest way to represent it, I would say something like showing segmented areas of each pathway over and across the car at a certain speed (take like 30 to 60 mph) and then pick say centerline, and show a video representation of the flow change with speed increase, prefferably all the way to 120 mph. then if there are significant changes in certain parts of the car (like while it is displaying centerline the side airflow drastically changes) the video still frames and rotates to show the change (and maybe has a comparison to the average flow pattern) but like i said...a lot of work

yeah, i was thinking about hood risers, not hoods where the vent is in front of the valve cover....FM did testing and seems to be happy with the design...I dunno, I'm sure both work just as well.

Hmm this is interesting. As I understood it hoods that were vented in the front like this
where made for the air to go into the radiator or intercooler from the front then escape out that vent and travel over the top of the car. But its true that it would change at different speeds, I would think. I have seen some posts on the subject of rear wings on other boards. Most seem to say that without a hard top you are pretty much SOL. Even then you need to have the wing pretty high off the boot lid to be effective......some say that the NA lip does a little something with the hard top on (spec Miata racers).
