That's why I mentioned the Godspeed 2876. If my memory serves correct, didn't Y8s make 265whp at 9.5psi on a 2876? I'm sure a godspeed would make a little less, because not garrett, but how would spool be?
You seriously don't remember this exact conversation we had? I mean, you literally said what you just said:

"I want none of the power, and none of the spool"

I seriously can't believe you want the WORST of both worlds.

You should just get a Rotrex

If you think your car isnt fun now with good area under curve, you're going to hate it when it has a ****-poor boost threshold, then power capped so you don't blow your old tired motor.

but who am I to tell you what to do.

I am now a firm believer that anyone running anything larger than 2560 on a stock motor is silly. (I know, I know, many others have been preaching this for years)

Seriously, just get a rotrex. Its exactly what you're looking for: none of the torque and none of the power, and ALL the cool AIT's you're looking for

Who said anything about me using my old tired motor?

Funny thing is my friend who just bought a brand new Civic Si has been preaching the kraftwerks setup to me. I'm like, "how about no"?

Ok, so I'm narrowing it down to a bit bigger than 2560, but smaller than 2876.
Still want to run EWG though. I have a feeling that I'm going to do something that makes you guys say, "he makes really good useable power and has great spool/ driveability, but why did he do it like that??"

I can promise you that nothing you will do will surprise anyone. There is nothing new under the sun, the only guys coming out with cool "new" stuff are much smarter than you, I, and everyone in this thread.

What you will do will either be smart/logical, or dumb/pointless.

That's about it.

You never said anything to suggest otherwise...

also:

My goal is to max out my RX8 425cc injectors by 10psi. I'm guessing this should be about 260whp?? (correct me if I'm wrong)
Thanks.
is a silly silly goal and unrealistic accomplishment. Like you've been here long enough to know this is some n00b *** **** you just posted.

When you start taking yourself seriously, I will as well. Untill then...

I must of missed that when I acutally read his goal about maxing tiny injectors to create 700hp within the horrid block of text.

I'm running the same injectors with the same fuel pressure at 15psi, dc around 90%, 12:1 a/f. Turn up the boost broham.

also, this big is too big.

No china-turbo, please. Do yourself that favor. There are so many better options out there and turbo prices are getting lower for things like Precision and Borg Warner.

If you're debating a new turbo and modifying your older parts (cast log), do yourself another favor and just do it once and do it right with better parts.

Don't get the idea that you're "saving" anything by trying to put a shine on ****. In the end, you won't be happy because you made compromises.

Good luck.

EFR6758 or GTX2867R

400whp capable terboz that will have plenty of room to grow, and not be too oversized for stock motor, mid 200 HP region that low end will be terrible

I'm too lazy to click on your build thread. What turbo are you running, what whp do you think you're making at that duty cycle?
Also...that's too big? That's an answer know as the deuce bigolo: would ya? "If she paid me enough, then yes."

Buy an EFR and blow up your engine at 12psi. Then rebuild it.

It will be very fun and expensive, I promise!

Its a begi/churbo 2854. Never dyno'd and I'll probably get flamed but I'm guessing around 265-275whp? Its fast. I still find myself giggling like a school girl after roll on's. I get to drive fast cars quite a bit, and the Mazda almost always feels quicker than most of them, at least up to 120mph or so.

How can you be bored with 225whp? My POS probably doesn't make 100whp right now and it's a blast to drive..

Wouldn't a holset like viperormiata's do this? And be relatively inexpensive.
