cxracing orders their stuff from China by the container load, so each turbo kit they sell they order 100's of pieces at a time.
MKTurbo, ARTECH, TSR, all except FM, build each kit to order, so obviously this takes time to build.
with a good amount of investment ~15K its very possible to send a good quality manifold/DP/Exhaust sample to China and have them make 100 copies, and ship back in a container. but this requires a large investment and the skills to micromanage the china factory, as they LOVE to cut corners and make a crappy product.

Yeah and then you get your design ripped off and see half price replicas of your product on ebay and all the moron kids buying those because no matter how cheap you make something they will always want it cheaper and you're sitting on 10,000 manifolds now that are paperweights cause only people with more than 2 brain cells are buying them and those people are few and rare.
I'm serious about this too: look at begi/fm manifolds: 300 bucks for a quality cast manifold really isn't a lot of money. at all. and yet people still buy the janky taco-burrito or obx-r-s-typeR-typeX for under 100 regardless of the crappier quality and knockoff design
I'm not one of those people crying about the knockoffs, that's just how the world works. I'm just saying it's pretty difficult to put out a quality product these days because of where the scene is going with all these stupid broke high school kids that want a performance car for walmart tricycle money

The part that saddens me is that most kids these days don't understand how things work and take the whole budget thing to an extreme. 8 out of 10 fail.
Look at the stupid video: the kid spent 600, now the turbo is a paperweight, that's -250, and as soon as he replaces that his manifold will crack in a week. that's another -150. So that's 400 out of the 600 wasted, and I'm assuming that the rest of the stuff holds up, which it probably won't.
So really, is he saving money or is he wasting money?
Few are smart and make compromises where it's possible and don't when not. Most aren't

The taco is proven to crack. When it does you're sol and have to buy a new one. Begi and fm manifolds are proven to last. If it cracks, they'll replace it for free.
I personally would never want a manifold whose studs stick into the exhaust flow path.
