Default lost bipes cable

Hi all, I was intending to semi install my bipes acu today to prepare for my turbo when I get it but have misplaced the cable that comes with the unit. Can someone verify the cable for me so I can buy another? This is the info. I know about it.

The outside of the cable says 18AWG, which I think means 18 gauge
I think there are 5 or 6 conductor wires inside the outer sheath but not sure
And I think the individual wires are stranded and not solid.

Anyone, does this sound correct?

If it's just the "cable" you lost and not the clip then you can use any wire you want, doesn't have to be the same exact thing the bipes came with, just get several (five or six, i forget how many wires the bipes have) different colors of primary wire and have fun.

Also, if you're planning on hanging around here I would highly recommend stopping everything you are doing right now, make an intro thread and start READING ALL THE STICKIED THREADS AND BRAINEACK'S DIY TURBO GUIDE!!!!

Rock out with the bipes... any cable will do... even individual wires if you have to...It even looks close to telephone cable... mutliple strand, etc..5 wires is for sure.

IMO lReading the faq's help alot, but actually working with your car and ending up with results you search for are far more rewarding. We can all grow at our own pace and learn from our own mistakes.

Thanks for your input on the cable, I'm glad I can go to the local hardware store and simply replace it.

I completely agree with you about reading the FAQ’s. Also, I can't begin to tell you how many questions I've had answered simply by using the search button. Unfortunately, the miata is my only car so I have to be a little conservative when it comes to digging in without researching completely if I screw up to bad I'm without a car. I've put in for a vacation in September to give me an entire week for the turbo install.

Thanks again
