Default Next step?..

So, I've been running a Greddy for awhile now. nothing else eccept a Starion i/c. i really haven't pushed it on the track with more boost since I'm really there to learn to drive the car. However, seeing as this 14g is capabe of more i was thinking to just keep it for awhile longer. but... there is a problem: the crappy crappy manifolds(i've been through a couple). i was thinking about getting ETD's, but at $470 that's a lot to swallow.

So... Since I'm no where near the capability of the turbo, i was thinking about building my own manifold. Since it uses the same flange as a t-25/28, i could upgrade later and swap flanges on the DP. This would put me no more than $300 out of pocket for the manifold/DP. then later buy a turbo/hoses/lines/etc as I learn to drive faster and the 14g isn't enough anymore...

ideas?

the stock greddy kit is not a standard T2 flange.... I believe it has a DSM style flange.

I measured the bolt holes at 2 7/8 x 1 9/16. According to JGS's diagram, it's a t-2 flange

I'm not worried about the outlet. I know that's going to be different.

So back to my idea; good course of action?
