Default T-ing off the oil sender HELP

as you can see from all the questions, i am having a few problems along the way wiith my install.

i got the oil lines from avo and they use the method of t-ing off the oil sender. all good and fine, but how the hell do i get to the thing to remove it. it's under the intake manifold and there just doesn't seem to be any clear path to get a spanner or anything in there. i'm tried from under the car as well, but can't get to it.

**** it. t-ing off the oil sender is just too hard, and less than optimal anyway.

i'll just get a new fitting and use the oem feed port on the block. that just makes way more sense. hopefully i can find something tomorrow.

Good call on using the port on the block. The threads are M10-1.5 down there.

Excellent way of doing it. Also makes it easier to get at the clutch slave to bleed the cylinder as well.

I used a 24mm deep well socket and a ratchet, I don't remember it being very difficult though?

thanks for all the responses guys.

i didn't have the right socket anyway, so i was stuck until the stores opened today, whichever way i chose to go. so i went and got a fitting made up for the oil feed on the hot side of the engine. much easier that way. all fitted now and looks good.

Nice. Probably the best way to run it.

a 24mm deepwell socket with a 1/2" drive ratchet will get to the sender perfect, on a NB anyway.

That's what I used too. For some reason I think it had to be a 12pt too.

1-1/8" would not fit, nor 27mm on my '93.... 1-3/16" sendor-socket fits like a glove....
