No. It controls the timing of the engine to prevent knock. Read the FAQ ALL the way through...it will help you out.

Search for like "DIY" threads and look at peoples setup and try to figure out exactly what you might need.

i sold my bipes to some guy in canada b/c i figured i would be doing an emanage system in the NEAR future... my timing is at like 8 as of now... so umm.. yeah i'm doing fine there, just got a wideband installed and it's helping me out a lot. car seems to be running fine with the exception of some kind of gas/ fumes coming from my head more then normal...

next investmant DIY dual feed fuel rail...

k thanks for all the help i made my own dual feed rail and put in 1.8l injectors thanks for every ones help

i blew my piston rings and part of the piston apart on 3 and 4 @ 12psi because those cylinders ran really lean..

it's not hard to do...if you want these results, try 6psi, 87 octane and 14° static timing (and probably not enough fuel).


the same pistons could have lasted 15-20psi, if there was actually a tune on it.
