Building time attack turbo mx5
Hi, i have a 1.6 with a tdo4h turbo and running 10psi. It has 200rwhp. I am building a 1.8 motor and was wondering which turbo would you reccomend to give the same drivability as my old setup?? I want to make more power, but still be responsive and easy to drive. Looking for around 300rwhp. I use the car for time attack only. It is not driven on the street.

FYI, 300whp isn't easy to drive no matter what turbo you stick on it. You want to look at either a 2860RS if you're serious about that 300whp limit, or a 2871R if you're planning on making more power someday.

Here is a few laps in a ~250-275whp miata. Should be around 2300lbs or so.

The only difference between those different numbers are some of them are the .86AR house and some are the .64AR. Also some come with a 3 bolt and 2 bolt compressor housing and the other ones are the std 3" house for the turbo intake
Most std one tho is probably the GT2871R - 743347-3 if your want a .64 AR
