Default V band turbo question

I have a t3 turbo on my mostly series 5 from BEGI.

I have the standard ford type 5 bolt down pipe flange.

I am looking at a turbo that has a vband type down pipe flange. From the pictures it looks like the vband is bolted onto the turbo with the ford 5 bolft flange pattern I have.

Can I just unbolt this vband thing and be on my way??

Thanks everyone.

You should be able to. Just be sure it's a Ford 5-bolt. Does the v-band piece look like this piece? If so, I'm interested for the right price.

That is sex right there. I would love to convert my current set up to a Vband.

M2, yes sir. That is what it looks like. Not that pretty though man

It would be new and it is the ford type 5 bolt on there.

If I do this I will PM you and see if you are interested at all.

Thanks for the info..

What? pretty much all 5-bolt t3 housings are the same and the v-band flapper housing bolts right up!! .48 or .63 are the same.

He was talking about the turbo specs, not the vband flange/wg housing. And there's more than one t3 five bolt pattern.

Splitime was selling a T25 or something with a V-band flange welded to it a while back.

The chinese have officially knocked off ATP's t3 internal vband gate, which IMO is the way to go. It's only $10 more than the cast t3 piece above and looks to be big improvement on flow over the OE housings.

i've tried the apt cast 3" wastegate and it's to big to fit with the fm2 manifold. unless you cut the rear shelf to make room for the downpipe

How much are they? I got my Garrett v-band piece for less than $40, but the guy selling it didn't know it was a Garrett part and didn't market it as such.

$60 delivered- the chinese version of yours is 50, so you got a stellar deal for a "true" part.
