Westach for the win
I tried to use one of their 0-1v gauges to get a display for the narrowband output of the AEM before I realized that the AEM narrowband is this weird .5-1.0 volt signal that seems deliberately designed to be useless.
Back and forth through email for a few days, send in my gauge and this comes back today, calibrated (per the AEM spec) for the 0-5v wideband signal that the ECU gets.
I'll probably go install it tonight. The guy told me that if this works ok, they might make it a regular product. This is about a 3rd of the price of the gauge display upgrade that AEM sells.

Originally yes but it didn't work very well, hence this project. I'm now reading directly from the 5v output of the wideband controller.
The non-gauge AEM has a wider range. Also, many people bought the non-gauge version before they released the gauge version a few years later. Also, this would work fine with the LC-1. For about 260 bucks, you get a wideband controller and a gauge. That's nearly half the price you'd get anywhere else.

The AEM UEGO sells for $250 or less on ebay daily and it has a great gauge. The DB gauge for the LC1 is like $80. So $175+$80 and you only pay shipping once instead of twice for the controller and then the gauge from Westach.
I prefer digital readouts to needles gauges, they take too long to read at speed and suck at night.
Good idea/project but by no means is it a smoking deal. At one time we had a forum retailer selling the AEM UEGO for $245 shipped.
