Gay being not straight.

Ok I pulled my manifold and trubo off and am checking to see if I need to get it machined. What do you guys think? Personally I think if I can see light through a straight edge it needs it, but I'm not sure if it would seal up once it gets warm.












Also, where on this manifold do I need to make my relief cuts? Between 1-2 2-3 3-4 or just 1-2 3-4?

Cutting between 1&2 and 3&4 worked for me, although 2&3 wouldn't hurt.

 

Definitely machine it flat.

I think it was Savington or Turbo Tim who, when asked about the tolerances for the manifold to turbo surface, said .00 was flat.

 

This is probably pushing the limit.

 

So I found out my straight edge wasn't so straight, which one of you got a hold of it? Waiting to get one that hasn't been tarnished.
