fatty, your buddys over at jaycar, dont they have some kind of pulse modifier?? maybe that could do it

yeah i looked into that. the problem with the jaycar pulse adjuster is that it adjusts the pulse up or down in frequency. you don't want to do that to the cas signal. you want to leave it at the same frequency, but move it forward or backward in time ( effectively phasing it out from the tdc signal).

my idea was to buy a switch that kicks in at a pre-set rpm (again from jaycar) , you could run this off the tacho wire. then have some kind of digital delay kit (altronics have one for example) in the loop of the switch, and install it in on the cas wire.
could work, but i dunno how the switching in and out would affect the ecu.
alternatively you could try to get a variable delay that somehow varies according to rpm or something. anyway it all got too hard for me.

well, i was talkin about this with lazzer408 one day, hes an electronics nut, he had came up with a way to do it using a timer intigradet circuit, but it was a bit beyond my understanding.

if you have a memory modual writer you could just copy the bipes unit, but that wouldnt be right would it

sounds like the parts and time to make something similiar are going to be more than the cost of the bipes itself. being cheap is good but i prefer to be stinge and buy good parts at good prices
