Well at least my dipstick didn't move this time. Still getting misfires at high boost. It is either the fact that I didn't put a catch can back yet or because I am trying the .48a/r turbine housing and I didn't open the throat enough. I will work on it.
So for now I just ran low boost, about 17psi(wastegate pressure.) Made semi finalist but no semi trophies yet, I usually donate those back anyway.

Had a fun night racing my friend's new hellcat. He barely beat me all afternoon, some great races.

I ran this super butchered turbine housing, I am amazed it ran as well as it did.

When are we going to get you a nice Garrett Gen2 GTX 28xx to throw on your car. A quality turbo will probably make it a tad bit quicker.

Or it might make him spin and get slower.
Often with the knockoff turbos they usually come on softer, and are much easier to control when you're fighting massive wheel spin.

While I agree with both of you guys. I think a 3" downpipe is in order first, which will get me closer with one of these junk turbos. More spool could be countered by commanding less boost and timing below 5 grand and getting out of 1st sooner (easier said than done.)
Really, I just want to try to get out of 1st and get into 6th sooner. A couple of times I was able to get into 6th by the 1000' mark.
I had a rough start and my turbo v band broke about 5 minutes on the way to the track.

Man that was loud

So I turned around, meanwhile my O2 sensor isn't getting any exhaust and the ecu is dumping fuel in, choking the thing. So I let it cool a bit and found an old clamp. Got it all buttoned up and was only about 45 minutes late.
I made it to the 3rd elimination round. The first "Vette" is also the first elimination round who dialed 12.22, it was pretty funny that I ran his number.

Are you using flat shift? Nothing helped me through the gears more than a properly set up flat shift.
Also, amusingly enough my best time in the MSM was launching in 2nd and dialing in the boost/timing as it picked up speed.
Man I kinda miss those times. You gotta come to sac raceway some day soon sir

I can't believe you're still nonstop running basically every week. That is an accomplishment.

Maybe I should come in the next week or two, we are off for 2 weeks. I am not running flat shift because it didn't seem to make any difference when I was running the giant 82mm compressor wheel. I just switched back to the "large MK wheel" 76mm I think, so flat shift might help more now. I wanted to see if modifying the turbine housing would help. I think one of the 3" t3 wastegate assemblies would help too.
I will let you know if I decide to go.

Had a fun afternoon, went red on the first round. The C5 Z06 that I took out last time got his turn this time. 29 is the mustang that I ran my fastest pass with, he is on E85 now. 94 is the blue C5 Z06 that is a really good match for my car. 7 is my friend with a late 60's Camaro that is done right.

Had another fun night. At least I made it past the first elimination round this time, just not very far past. I did get one of the coveted .002 stickers but they were out of $2 bills so I ain't no pro this time. Dang! Been hanging with Roxanne again, a little too close to the edge I guess.

Had another fun night with a bunch of friends. Still flirting with Roxanne but at least I took 2nd place this time, barely went red -.013 in the final. The car seems to be running pretty well considering how hot it was.

Also might need to bump this little guy up to the next pay grade. Guuuud Kitty!

Had a good night. I stayed away from Roxanne and had only one light under a tenth. A friend took me out in the semi finals by 22 hundredths of a second. He took 1st place after that.

They have nice new medals for semi finalist.

Went bracket racing on Monday. Always tough competition against seasoned racers with automatics. The track was way stickier and I didn't let off soon enough on the first round. We were able to buy back for the first round and I ended up against a friend who usually runs jackpot. We both went red, but I went redder, we knew we had to cut a light on each other. We were all racing for $700 and one of these.

I had a fun time with a bunch of friends and we got to hang out in one of the suites, it was sweet.

If that white Super Comp is number 751, the driver (and his crew chief) are friends from NASA NorCal. He's a little faster than your Miata

Glad you had fun!

I can't really say, but I bet that car does the 1/4 in half the time my car does. I always see tons of folks from the drag strip when I visit for a track day, so it might be your friend. I enjoy that place quite a bit, I am pretty lucky in that way.

We were off this week so I went to Sac. I won!

It was last kinda last minute and unfortunately I didn't get to see 18 or Fastiva this time. I still had a great time and there were a few friends from Sears Point just like me.

Carlos, I was really sad that I couldn't make it and meet up with you. We are planning a trip to Sac raceway next Wed and you're obviously always invited/welcome.
Although looking at your consistency, you'll beat us all

PS: I think you and JT in the courier would be a fantastically close race.

Thanks Ed!

Vlad, I am sorry that I picked the wrong Wednesday. I saw the picture of your new exhaust and figured you'd be there. No promises for next week but if I might make it. I actually thought I lost every time, I couldn't see the win light I really just pushed everyone to break out.
