Holy hell, are those 99's special in some way that they can run that much or is this on borrowed time?

 

the 99's are supposed to handle less due to the higher compression pistons. some say with a good tune it'll be fine. we shall see.

i've heared many times that 1.8's can handle that much power on a good tune fairly well, tranny's become the weak link at those levels

that torque curve is sweet

 

I have a similar dip in torque at 4K (as well as other Megasquirted miatas). Did you start with a DIY timing map and work from there? I suspect we need more timing around there.
