If it is wheel design that makes the difference.....Maybe the next person should by a chhurbo from the same manufacturer as Brain.

Brain: Where did you buy yours? Mine is an emotor usa, same as levnubin. Maybe some churbo manufacturers do a little more R&D when ripping off an design.

I highly doubt ebay brand chinacharger companies do any r/d as that would cost money and ultimately drive the prices up close to the authentic stuff.
Which defeats the whole purpose of a chinacharger.

Yup, you are right. Having said that, the guy whom i bought the chinacharger from does not even have a clue on what he was selling.

I've found like 10 vendors that sell the same one as mine. and it has the same stupid stamping on the compressor housing.

I dug up this pic:

DSCN7789.jpg?t=1239121340

this is supposed to be a Chinacharger GT2860 comparable turbo. Source: https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...hlight=measure

The above does not have the turbine design of a true Garrett GT2860. It has the turbine of a GT25 series.

It should look more like this:

Name: P1010303.jpg
Views: 1877
Size: 115.2 KB

less blades and greater spacing.

However, 45.5mm turbine inducer suggests a turbine smaller than a GT2052... get what im getting at now?

and FWIW, that compressor wheel in his post looks to be identical to mine...and it should NOT be. A real Garrett GT2560 or 2860 have a 60 trim compressor wheel... his measurements suggest a 50 trim wheel like mine.

I'd imagine 95% of the churbos are made in the same 2 sweat shops. Maybe the 8 year old assembling the one used by the OP didn't get his 2 tbsp of rice that day and did a shitty job?

I would like to see the comparison between an actual 2871 curve and this. Some of the difference is related to the overall larger turbo. I am not impressed with that 2554 boost line. I have a pea shooter exhaust as well and my churbo has better boost threshold than the said 2554 line. So... Someone mail me a 2554. I will go make sexy dynos and we will settle this. Truth is, I am not convinced by "This larger turbo has a worse boost threshold and it is because it is chinese." I know there is a difference, but it is doubtful that it is that large.

My Garrett GT2560R will be here next week. I will post a new chart after installation and tuning.
