He seems to be the only DIY guy that's building them. He'll respond. He just has hundreds of PM's coming in, and does this on the side.

If you are looking for a quick in-stock type transaction, you're better off looking at a PNP from diyautotune, or an MSLabs ECU through Trackspeed.

Do they retain A/C functionality?

I'm a newb and I came across some posts saying that the megasquirt had issues with that and you needed to use an NA alternator etc. I'm guessing it was for the older MS.

Thanks again!

This was the case many years ago, with the MS1 and, to a later extent, the MS2.

Workarounds were devised for A/C and alternator. I created an A/C control scheme for the MS1, and a couple of people here (Abe and Jason in particular) contributed to the design of a standalone alternator-control circuit.

With the MS3, of course, this is all irrelevant. There's really nothing about the under-hood environment of an NB that the MS3 can't control as well as or better than stock.

Ah so it seems that I was on the right track. I guess this is one of the pitfalls of spending too much time reading old stuff because it's hard to figure out what went where when and what new features became available etc.

The hunt for a recent step wise build thread continues!
