MAF are cheap if you can find a solid used one. I think I picked up a complete stock intake tract, including the stock MAF, IAT and airbox for $25-35 + shipping here on the forums. If you are having trouble finding parts locally, there is also PanicMotorsports, Treasure Coast, BTDT and FLyin Miata Salvage that can all get you solid, tested, used parts.

Ya i use treasure coast if anything but the thing is that happened when i had my old ecu.It runs without the MAF plugged in but dies as soon as its plugged in so I reset the car or w/e and then it worked. Now its doing the same thing? So can MAF sensors act up then be good then completely fail?

By the way its still not working when i reset it with the new ecu. Also could that ground under the break booster screw things up if dirty?I am cleaning it tomorrow. Also I even plugged in the GND and TEN with the MAF hooked up and yet still wouldnt idle.It did respond a little better while flooring it.It would go up to 1,000 rpm and die.

Its throwing codes: p0100 maf or vaf
P0110- IAT
So is it the wiring or can a IAT go bad The same time as the MAF since its all one piece?
It also blew a coipack, a failry new one the other day when i was working on it.
