The bracket doesn't 'jack' it up at all. There are only millimeters of clearance to the floor, and the bracket itself is very slim. The placement is carefully set for clearance in all areas by nesting it in the deepest pocket of the footwell and setting it an at angle that is parallel with the kick plate surface instead of the floor surface.
Look at the installed pic in the first post. The kick plate fits over that. MSPNP, MS3 Pro, AEM EMS-4 and Adaptronic all fit under there using this bracket. I can't speak for Reverent's ECUs because I don't have one on hand nor do I have measurements. Since the Rev boxes don't have mounting tabs, designing an add-on piece to bolt them to the bracket would just be a matter of getting one in my hands for a day. -Ryan |

After staring at the pic some more, what I assumed was a vertical lift of a few inches is actually a diagonal jog to the left! That makes much more sense. As soon as I get back to the states I'm ordering two of these.

Why did you do this angle to the right anyway and didn't use the left and 2nd left mounting screw like the OEM bracket does? That would make it an 90-05 bracket I guess...

Over where you are, I believe they kept the ECU in the footwell for nearly all years yes? In the states, they are only in this location from 90-93, then they move. 94-97 is behind the passenger seat, 99+ is under the dash. Because I don't exactly have any EU cars here, I can't have easily known what similarities/differences existed across the years in your case. -Ryan |

It wasn't an attack at you specifically, since DIY and pretty much anyone else selling these either doesn't have tabs on the cases or has dinky little ones meant for zip ties only or something. I just can't imagine that whoever is making these cases can't integrate at least something we can work with. Anyways, I've already "solved" my mounting problem ;) But can provide dimensions or input on anything you guys need. |

Hmmm I want to throw my money at this but I also have a DIYBOB addon board on my MS3x, which looks like it may be hard to mount on the bracket as well.

WTB: brackets that install themselves along with the ecu so I don't have to remove my seat, go upside down with my calves on the roll bar, and get cramps in my obliques contorting my head and arms under the dash.

I'm reading that as you'd like to be able to mount the ECU to the bracket outside of the car and then be able to bolt the bracket/ecu combo in place as a unit?
That's how this 90-93 version is intended to be installed, and how I plan to make the 99+ version. :) The other way I could read that is you want a self-installing bracket/ecu... which I'm not sure I can make happen.. -Ryan |
How about an ECU bracket that installs in the passenger airbag compartment, for those of us that have deleted the airbags?

And so would making a 99+ bracket to mount MS in OEM location considering you can just copy the oem orientation and run a plate or piece of metal or anything you want connecting the two mounts and with like 2-4 holes in the plate to mount the MS. Yup, that's the gist of it. The idea is to keep the ECU in the factory location - no relocation necessary, the wiring is already ready to rock and roll there, it's a secluded/safe spot, etc.
Also working on adapters for Reverent ECUs to fit our brackets. -Ryan |

I'd pay at least another $25 for that option. |
