Is anybody running remote temp sensor?
I'm doing the reroute, and, wondering if anyone has placed their sensor in the upper rad hose.
I've been looking around, but can't seem to find anything pre-made for less than $40.
This is what my temp sensor looks like
and the silly thing is interfering with thermostat.
Do I need a different sensor?

Well, one way or another it's gonna be past the thermostat, so, the reading WILL be inaccurate.
This is what I'm looking for.

I think my problem is that 1.6L thermo-sensor is so long, that it interferes with the thermostat no matter which way you spin it, that's why I gotta make it remote.
Braineack, how did you deal with heater core return being fed into water pump? Left it alone?
Should it be left alone? Should it be piped into the upped rad hose?

I did kinda think that this would BE the reason. Thanks! (And, sorry for the stupid question)
Looks very cute. Can it be tapped for M16x1.5? And, is it deep enough to accept my thermo-sensor?
Is that link for the bushing?
I'm confused, man.
Edit: the 3/8" NPT is not equal to M16x1.5, is it?

That is with the thermo-sensor completely displacing the thermostat, and, the latter facing the wrong way.
3/4" spacer, lathed by my buddy. I've asked him to go 1", but, even then, I doubt that it would ever fit.
The way it the spacer is right now, it's barely wide enough for the water outlet/thermo-sensor.
