... So I don't know yet and won't be able to tell for sure until I get in touch with BW directly. If what Himni Racing is true thats a game changer for sure. |

I'm already on it. Unfortunately i called 3 of their offices and tried several of their extensions and only got ahold of a secretary that knew nothing about turbos. Everyone else (customer support, warranty claims) went to voicemail. I'm pretty sure i called during their business hours (3CST) so i don't know whats up. I'll try tomorrow a little earlier i guess.

You and soviet should shoot me a pm, I will get you the contact info I have for some engineers and a phone number that should get to someone.
There's Brock Fraser - Director of Advanced Application Development. He's the guy who, apparently, runs the whole EFR program and is the author of the "EFR Technical Training Guide", aka "EFR Bible" document. Drives a 993 turbo. Then there's Doug Erber - Engineering Director. He's actually a member here and *used to* have a miata - it was listed for sale here https://www.miataturbo.net/cars-sale...a-$6500-58322/ Both work in the BW North Carolina office. I really don't want to bother either of them - I want customer relations or marketing or something of that sort. |
Clearly this was an attorney based decision, not a decision from anyone in marketing nor engineering.
|
If it was an attorney, he should be fired.

fact: this turbine has been impacted by a foreign object.
fact #2: I dynoed after the fact. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1343173096 fact #3: haha |
Ok so faith in EFR - restored.
Got an email today. I emailed BW directly earlier and I guess that -or- this thread got around. I was asked not to post the whole email, so here's the cliff notes: - BW doesn't deny claims like this. - Himni never contacted BW and are not a BW partner/distributor. BW doesn't even know who they are, lol What did I gather from this whole experience with Himni? If you want a "fresh to the market" turbo, buy it from authorized retailers. In this case, from Full Race. |
Yay! FR! My heroes!
And he and Fae lived happily ever after. The end. |
I posted this question in my build thread but might as well ask here too.
Thinking of switching from EFR 6258 to EFR 6758. So I can say my Miata is an Indy car (Indy chassis runs twin 6758) https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1343274796 vs https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1343274796 |
Why not..
I would :) Also this proves our suspicions that HIMNI = SACKS OF CRAP SHADY A$$HOLES |
I so want to see Himni's response to calling him out on his shady dealings.
But I suspect his response will be: :inout: |
how much boost are you running Lenoldator?

The first chart (unlabeled) is far more efficient for a greater part of it's usable area. And it has more usable area total. But where do you expect to be drawing a dissection line through the chart with your engine?
|
the second turbo makes sense for a twin setup. low boost, high flow, heavy right sloped surge line.
