Default how much boost for say 200lbs/ft of torque

Hi, i'm running a 1.8 NA mx5 with a T25 (.48) turbo, 460cc low imp injectors, adaptronic management etc etc and i'm currently running 10psi of boost.

I just wondered what amounts you guys have safely run on a T25 and what kind of boost i'd need to be running to produce 200lbs/ft of torque or as close to it as possible.

thanks in advance
Tom

On a .49a/r T25 you won't make 200wtq. On a .64a/r T25 with a 60mm or larger compressor, you'll need at least 12psi to hit the 200wtq mark.

Note that's wtq - you can make 200whp on the .49a/r turbo at ~15psi.

I'd say 10-15psi depending on the timing map

It takes a bit more on my turbo and smaller motor.

this is my t3 on my 1.6L running 10psi vs a 94 motor running a .84/.64 t25 at 10psi.

good times, cheers for the replys all.

I'm just road mapping the car and may increase boost a little to 12psi and start addressing the timing map and see where I go from there.
cheers

I recently turned up the boost from 10 to 12 psi on my 99. Haven't been on dyno yet but the jump from 10 to 12 makes a huge difference in power! I think I found the sweet spot for the 2854 churbo.
