idle air control hose

idle air control hose
...hopefully this isn't a silly question -
On my 94 miata I'm running a JR45 with the throttlebody in the stock location - this requires a bov in the crosspipe. running IAT and deleted MAF.
I'm trying to cleanup the engine bay - tuck some wires, delete some things... i got this big ol' 3/4 inch hose running across my bay from the idle air hole on the tb, over to a spot on the intake just after the filter and before the charger inlet.
i'm not very much of a mechanic, but using common sense it kinda tells me this hose goes to uncharged, basically "open air" ... leads me to think:
can't i just delete this and put a small air filter on the idle air valve?
thanks for the learning opportunity

If you use that TB for throttle position then you'd need to switch to the NB tps and tps connector, you'd also need to switch the connector on your harness to the NB iac one. Both connectors can be found if you look in the connector witch hunt thread. And you'll need to also change the IAC frequency in the ECU too to the NB value.
