AFAIK they are just there to hold things together before you actually put them in the car. They aren't going anywhere once you tighten the fuel rail down.

Hmph. If you need a clip to keep the extenders and injectors together, how much of a seal are the O-rings really providing?

I paid about $35 a piece for them on eBay last November.

I haven't heard of any issues from the newer wired connectors. There are a few folks running them now with no issues - sonofthehill and choofoojoo for sure.

The ones people reported issues with have been turned into pigtails.

I'm about to order new injectors
only now I see two different lengths (60mm,50mm)
what can I get the best
does the long fit as I modify the top
or I can better order the shorter and make some extenders

You are looking for an overall length of 60mm, however, you need the 48mm injectors unless you can find 60mm injectors with a 11mm top. I wouldn't recommend modifying the tops when extenders are readily available. You get the 48mm units and then use a 12mm extender that converts the 14mm top to 11mm. Here are some pictures to illustrate:

If you get those 48mm 550cc units, you can get a kit to make them PNP here: Flow Force Adapter Kit for 1990-2005 Mazda Miata ? Flow Force Injectors

Or you could always go for 610cc units that have been flow matched with a PNP kit: Flow Force 610cc Injectors with PNP Kit for Mazda Miata ? Flow Force Injectors

Has anyone gotten a decent ms2 map for these injectors? I have changed out my injectors too many times with the map I have, it runs and drives but just feels off all around, even idle and accel enrichment settings would be a great help. I just can't seem to get those close. I have a 1.6 turbo, with variable TPS.

I installed these last week onto my new built motor (still on the engine stand - haven't run it yet) and with the extender caps, everything fit pretty well, but will need a larger spacers to elevate the fuel rail 2-3 MM for the best fit. That being said, I bought them with pigtails that need to be wired to the existing injector harness (to replace the EV1 plugs).

What is the correct way to splice the 2 wires from the pigtail into the existing harness?

I'm having some aluminum spacer washers made to make the fit even more perfect. IDs have the same issue, but these should be better than IDs

I planned to go to ACE Hardware to source washers to fit. Hopefully, that will be sufficient.

I've got a slow motion one I'll put up at lunch. You can see the two streams. It's a good thing.

I was always concerned that the angle of the dual spray pattern was not correct for the valve spacing of the BP head. The worry would be some portion of the spray just wetting walls.

Thanks for making this video and posting it.

I'm curious how the intake charge airflow changes things...
