No warranty on the one I bought anymore. I done went and removed the parting line flash in the runners and did a little bit of bellmouth work. Nothing much just smoothed out some of the casting defects.

Its not. You can see on Gregg's site that the TB sits further over towards the shock tower and down lower. Even at 6 lbs lighter you could be increasing the moment on the flange.

Good news is that it looks like VVT swapped cars that have the 99 rail + 90-93 regulator flipped upside-down will now clear the manifold without having to bend or trim anything!

I already had to reweld the neck on my radiator to accommodate my reroute. This would interfere even more.

There maybe room to run the hose above the runners. A friend of mine does this on his ITB setup with a fabricated aluminum tube. Bonus is that it's now the highest part of the system.

I think I will like that. Looks like you will not have to remove the plenum to change injectors with the Skunk manifold. I have a squaretop installed right now and it is a pain to do anything around the injectors.

Really? I think it looks way easier tbh since it's lower down.

Sorry, didn't mean to ruin everyone's day by posting such useless information.

I wouldn't call it useless. The comparison pictures and detailed shots are helpful to many. Just that a lot people are on pins and needles to see dyno numbers and are willing to pick anyone apart who's not posting them. Until trusted, non-biased sources post data, its going to be like that. Keep up the good work. While I might not always agree with everything you do/say in your video, your love for the build shows in your work.

Try not to take it too personally. The more public you are, the more you get shot at. That's the reality of social media. And this particular forum eats their young.
Stick to what you are doing (following your passion) and let the haters hate. Meanwhile, thank's for the video.

Ordered one Sept 13th. Tracking shows it'll be here tomorrow. maybe we'll get to the dyno this week.

I'm waiting for results too, I wish my car was running already so I could at least be a part of the testing fun. It's pretty surprising to me that people have had their hands on these manifolds for 4+ weeks and there hasn't been a single Squaretop vs Skunk back-to-back test yet. Which is exactly why I'm holding on to my Squaretop, just in case.

Side note, I don't want anyone to agree with everything I do and say. There are some people that treat my videos as scripture and it legitimately bothers me. I intend for them to be a research tool, to be used supplementally with searching forums and talking to others with real world experience. Hell I never listen to what just one person has to say about a certain part no matter how much experience they have with it or how smart they seem.

I found your depiction of continually upgrading and spending money while the car sits on jackstands to be highly realistic and instructive!

I may point the throttle rearward and draw intake from the cowl.. I’m gonna get one unless NA dynos seriously dissapoint, which I doubt, the Mazda manifolds are steaming piles honestly

The squartop is what I said was a pain to work with the injectors. I was saying that it will be easier on the skunk im because it is lower.

No problems. I am just glad I am not getting eaten alive for mentioning that I have already modded mine without putting it on the dyno. Which I have no plans to do. I will spend the next 2 or 3 months street tuning the Hydra for the Skunk IM. I check my results by how consistent the 0-60 times are.

+1

ANY information on a new product is useful and the more the better IMO - I like reading the responses, some are actually thought-provoking.

At the end of the day, back-to-back testing against the Flat-top/Squaretop is what many here want to see but given the scarcity of the Flat-top/Squaretop, if it's better than OEM then it's worth the upgrade.

That's cause no single person under the sun is always right all the time.
