Oil just needs to be kept from being too hot. Multiple people have put the oil cooler behind the radiator, in place of the second AC fan. A decent setrab cooler put there will take enough off the top of the oil heat to keep everything happy, and not require finding another cool air source and/or putting vital engine fluids outside the frame rails.

Ok, got the M-tuned reroute in today and also added the Spal 12inch fan. Reroute was a little challenging, but as they say - "slow and steady wins the race". Took me about 4hrs to get it in. Mounted the fan by itself with no shrouding - man does that thing pull some air. Took the car out for some test runs and everything seems to work great. Car never got above 210 (used to go above 230). I've got the fan set to kick on at 202 and off at 192. Boy when that thing kicks on, it will lower the temp in about 2 minutes. I picked up a new OEM undertray, but just didn't get around to installing it today. I'll need to trim it up some to fit around the intercooler pipes. Getting some feedback on the local forum that I should put on an oilcooler also. I guess I'll wait to see on that one. Thanks for the feedback and insight with this issue. Hopefully I've got the majority of it taken care

Update - ok finally got the car back on the track. 4 25minute session at Motorsports Ranch Cresson on the 1.7mile course. Now air temps were in the low fifties, so I'm sure that had some help but water temps were great. I ran my Megasquirt logger and the car ran about 186 all day with a max of 210. I've got the single Spal fan set to come on at 205 and off at 195. Car ran great, seemed to make a bunch of power and now it's just a matter of getting used to it. I think I will eventually put an oil cooler on, but might wait until next spring. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.
