That, sir, is awesome. Awesome enough to offend the hell out of UPS and have them repeatedly ransack the box.

Thanks. Nothing I love more than Rattling The Squares. I'm just pissed that they didn't re-set the dick and the singing kitty. I suppose they have some right to inspect the box, but not to damage it's contents. But hey, who cares; it was intended to set the high-water mark for Rude Packaging, so my work here is done.

We can only hope that when the UPS people opened it, they got the full pop up dick and singing kitty experience!

Btw, that pop-up ***** belongs here!

The shipped part artwork hall of fame thread - Page 3 - Miata Turbo Forum - Turbo Kitten is watching you test compression.

Any connections with this business?

No.

Going in to pick up my head from the machine shop in ~3 hours.

They promised 4 days to finish it. It took them a month and a half. And somehow they apparently managed to crack it in the process. How the **** do you crack a head in R&Ring it, with nothing to torque?

I'm guessing they had it in a vice while they work on it and tightened it too much. Probably had it in crooked.

They tried to repair it, I'm taking a close look at it with a good mechanic friend later today.

Any chance ur mechanic has a rockwell tester? I sure hope the weld is about the same hardness as the rest of the head.

Zero chance.

However, if I had to lay money on it, I would say that they dropped the head. It seems to have landed on where the oil heater was sticking out, causing a crack around there. TL;DR, I basically have the oil heater outlet removed and welded off. I would have probably paid for that, so I'm not sweating it too much since the head seems to check out in every other way.

Well if that's all the hopefully you'll atleast get a hell of a discount on the rest ( if you don't take your head back and stay far away from there)

Pulling this from the dead cause I'm in for results. If nothing is happening I can get my top milled in a day and dyno the next.
