Have any of you tried the coop for BD64? I wish Doom 2016 was coop but apparently you have to use the snapmap to simulate the experience.

Not yet, usually a buddy of mine and me will hop on a multiplayer server on Brutal Doom. (Doom2.wad)

I haven't a machine capable of running it but seemed to me watching some single player recordings to have neither tension nor difficulty.

They're prob not playing on the hardest difficulty

I haven't played it in a while, got stuck and lost interest.
