Default Give me your tired, shredded, huddled mass of AZ6

Still looking for an AZ6 with stripped teeth. I'll email you a prepaid shipping label to ship it to Walters.

I already sent them one with worn shift forks and syncros to tear down and eval.

No stripped teeth, but I can send one with what I assume is a bad second gear syncro.

I could maybe slap this one in, fill up with e85 and go ALLOFIT with the mid-range timing. Then give people rides. It's not like pulling teeth or anything.

Anyone running their 6sp yet? Pulling the engine on my car, so it would be a great time to send a trans in to get built... I just haven't seen anyone actually running one of their transmissions in a higher power turbo car.

Best to talk with Walter Motorsports about it. I remember seeing a post about some upgrades AZ6's going out back in the fall, but nothing since that.

I have a half dozen RX8 AZ6s with stripped 2nd gears. Unfortunately I didn’t see this sooner, but if one is needed I’ll be glad to send it to them.

nm, I see they already offer the NB AZ6 upgrade so likely already addressed.

Walter Motorsports has my 6 spd which is going to a stage 2 and also putting a 3.63 in my rear end. Will update when it's all done - probably gonna be a few months

Awesome, I wonder if the 3/4” MC conversion note is related to an OE type clutch?

My intention is to pair it with a Tilton 5.5” clutch, which doesn’t require anywhere near the release travel movement as a standard clutch. If I kept the mechanical release I was going to need to install a pretty long clutch pedal stop to address that. I’ll probably need to just contact those guys though to try and get some dimensional info and/or discuss fitment with it on a 5.5” setup.

Appreciate it.
