Pretty interesting. I just the other day watched a documentary called "Who Killed the Electric Car?" (while riding in the back of my brother's enormous SUV...) and the thought crossed my mind to do something electric which would also be decently quick. GM's EV1 was actually a fast car, and one of the enthusiasts showed off his EV1 racer which pulled off a 3.6 second 0-60 and had a 300 mile range.

Hustler,

In the interest of saving the environment I'll charter a 757 to fly down and pick those bodies up from you right away!

The lack of a workable electric car is market driven. If car companies believed they could build and sell electric cars profitably they would have done it. Everyone got their panties in a bunch when gas hit $5 so the interest was way up. Now that we're back to $1.75 I expect we'll see the public interest wane again.

While the far left and hollywood cries "environment" for the need for electric cars, the majority of people only want electric if it's practical, affordable and efficient.

I'm willing to make a couple.

Anybody ever seen a 1960 Henney Kilowatt? Henney Kilowatt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
60 mph and 60 mile range. I saw one parked in a parking garage in Key West, FL. It was a four speed. Worked better than this miata I'm sure.

That's the spirit!

We aren't serial killers, we are eco warriors enriching the environment one dead body at a time!

Of course my existing network of professionals keep me in good supply. I had no idea the CIA, Mafia and MS-13's were so concerned about global warming and being green!

Yeh everyone always harps on about eco friendly cars and their gay electric engines, forgetting the fact, of how often the main battery needs to be replaced, the cost of the battery, and the super un-eco friendly chemicals that the battery is made of.

The Bmw 118d won the most eco friendly vehicle of 2008 and its a 4cyl turbo diesel.

So theres still hope that we wont all have to convert to electric in the future- especially if the US opens up its oil reserves.

Theres something so cool about having controlled combustion under the hood and a roar coming out the exhaust!

I would steer clear of anything electric, and especially anything that wasnt desgnied specifically as an electric car.

You really need to watch the film I mentioned if you think the lack of market killed the electric car. It's on youtube, search "who killed the electric car".
